| Politics: Left, Right, and Center National, state, regional, and local politics. Who's doing what to whom, and what you can do about it. How-to-get-action messages are encouraged. "How the government fucked up my life" stories are encouraged. Sharing new methods for cheating on taxes is encouraged. Sample "letters to congresscritters" are encouraged. Apathy and "I can't do anything" posts are discouraged. Left, right, centrist, or any other form of political-economic systems are all up for discussion. Be prepared to defend yourself, or at least have a good line of bullshit ready. Extensive quoting of economists and philosophers is frowned upon. We want to hear what YOU have to say, not what some constipated, impotent, dead guy dreamt up while suffering from the DT's over a hundred years ago thought. |

Why is Obama strutting around Europe?
For that matter, why are brainwashed Europeans cheering for him like he's some kind of god. Oh, that's right, they're brainwashed by Esau's serpent media.
Well anyway, what business does Obama have running around Europe? I thought he was supposed to be running a presidential campaign? Europeans can't vote for him and he's not one of their candidates. Don't these leftist fools see that this is nothing more than brazen US imperialism? Sure, they protest trade deals with the United States, but when some American Democratic mongrel faggot marches through their country like he owns the place they go out and cheer for him; what fools!
If he comes to my country, I'll be out chanting, "Obama go home!"

Re: Why is Obama strutting around Europe?
Because dumbass McCain opened his mouth and basically challenged Obama to go over there.

Re: Why is Obama strutting around Europe?
Fortunately, a United States that has been paying attention has seen the Iraq War that has been won and a Presidential candidate that would still give up if he could do it over again.
+10 for McCain.

He didn't come to europe trying to rack up some votes. He didn't even come to talk about his candidacy. He wanted to talk about how the USA and UK need to come together to help fix the worlds problems etc

Obama is sincere. He's nothing like Bush. Watch the speech.

Re: Why is Obama strutting around Europe?
what does he need europe's approval for everything? I've got a problem with that. I think if we rely too much on Europe and the UN to approve of everything we might look like we've got no balls. But on the other hand if we go running into shit guns blazing we'll look like assholes. On an issue like this if you lean too far to one side of the boat you'll flip the damn thing over. We have to remember that some of our enemies are in the UN as well as our allies, it's a double edged sword.

Exactly. Maybe this isn't really the place to talk about politics but I think Obabma is the only one with the 'proverbial lifejacket' I believe he could get us out of our problems. Once he smooths things over in Europe and sweet talks all the other countries our economy will start to get back on it's feet. Then again... I am just kinda praying for Obama to be the man he says he is.

Seeing as we've "won", I wonder if President Dubya will say "Mission Accomplished" this time?

Honestly I think he's not on my side. I think we should stay with the traditional stance on dealing with rogue states and whatnot WE DON'T NEGOTIATE WITH TERRORISTS. I think he'd create problems for later, dealing with terrorists, partially because they are set to destroy us and probably won't stick to agreements and partially because Iran's government is designed to dodge treaties, and partially because I don't think he'll know the right times to use force.
