I was thinking the other day and I came to a logical impass.

I have read that THC and other cannabinoids exist in cannabis as acids and must be heated in order to become active psychotropics. Normally this is done with a lighter when smoking or by the stove when making cannabutter. But what transforms the acids into psychoactives when one makes Green Dragon?

I've looked around and i cant find a satsfying answer to this question, any of the chem heads out there know why it works?

I've wondered the same thing myself man. Though I've never tried green dragon, so I can't say how effective it is.

I'm not sure either...I was never a big fan of green dragons, I usually just end up drunk as fuck and spinning..might as well just get lit and smoke a few bowls.

Green dragon is about as effective as brownies (IE putting a 1/4 oz in a pan of brownies will yield 6 doses, and putting 1/4 oz in a bottle of green dragon will yield 6 doses.)

Because the cannabinoids are soluble in alcohol, and thus they are diffused into the blood stream with the ethanol, getting you high and drunk?

Fucked if I know, I always thought it was because they are soluble in ethanol, and the brownies work because they are soluble in fat, but straight out eating it doesn't work as they aren't soluble in liquid.
