Politics: Left, Right, and Center National, state, regional, and local politics. Who's doing what to whom, and what you can do about it. How-to-get-action messages are encouraged. "How the government fucked up my life" stories are encouraged. Sharing new methods for cheating on taxes is encouraged. Sample "letters to congresscritters" are encouraged. Apathy and "I can't do anything" posts are discouraged. Left, right, centrist, or any other form of political-economic systems are all up for discussion. Be prepared to defend yourself, or at least have a good line of bullshit ready. Extensive quoting of economists and philosophers is frowned upon. We want to hear what YOU have to say, not what some constipated, impotent, dead guy dreamt up while suffering from the DT's over a hundred years ago thought.

Default Barrack Obama and the cult of personality

Obama has quite the personality cult following him. People look toward him as the everyman. He is everyone you ever wanted to be or needed to be.

But let's be serious here, cults of personality are what they are: cults. Usually poor, unemployed or hungry and uneducated persons who look toward the demigod (ghandi, hitler, hale salasie) as an end to their suffering, but history proves the suffering continues despite rehtoric and promise.

Many people will vote for Obama simply he has expressed a wish to end the war.

Many people will vote for him b/c they wish to punish the republicans.

Many people will vote for him b/c they see McCain's support of Bush's foreign and domestic policies as a Bush third term, and few people like that idea in America.

Many people will vote for him just to feel like a part of history.

Many people will vote for him b/c they agree with his ideals and principles.

Many people will vote for him b/c they see his inexperience in the corrupt cess pool of Washington as a good thing.

I could go on, but the point of it is, people are not voting for him by and large b/c they are stupid, downtrodden, and seriously believe he is the answer to all of their problems.

Mccains boring, he has the stereotypical look of a republican and has plenty of war storys to bore you with.

Obama is young hip and black which makes him cool.

The Obama cult is primarily made up of college students who don't even care about politics, and then as you get older, the profile of the cultists becomes narrower until you get to people who are 30 and know that Obama isn't going to bring Democracy to Zimbabwe and Burma and save refugees in Chad and help Darfur or make the oceans stop rising, then as you get a little further on, you have big city liberals like Bill Ayers and people who want us to give up the war on terrorism.

Yes, college kids don't care about anything. What effect can a bunch of college kids have on politics and culture?

I don't want Obama to bring Democracy to Zimbabwe and Burma.

I don't remember Bill Ayers being quoted as saying "Stop fighting terrorism". Just b/c a person is opposed to Iraq does not mean they are opposed to fighting terrorism. If you wish to make that argument...you will ACTUALLY have to make an argument to that fact.

Can you?

They should have an effect, and do, its just unfortunate that people vote for people because he's cute.

" Now the world will watch and remember what we do here - what we do with this moment. Will we extend our hand to the people in the forgotten corners of this world who yearn for lives marked by dignity and opportunity; by security and justice? Will we lift the child in Bangladesh from poverty, shelter the refugee in Chad, and banish the scourge of AIDS in our time?
Will we stand for the human rights of the dissident in Burma, the blogger in Iran, or the voter in Zimbabwe? Will we give meaning to the words "never again" in Darfur? "

I don't believe he will do shit about any of this, but he's talking it up.

You should learn to fucking read.

"liberals like Bill Ayers >>>and<<<< people who want us to give up the war on terrorism."

What is this, the third time in a day you have missed a key word in what I have said and tried to claim that I said something else?

I've heard a million and one people say the children are our future, but what kind of future, is completely up to them. If this kind of uninformed voting pattern continues it might hurt the nation.

It was our duty in the Cold War, it's currently our duty as a key founding member of the UN and as the most developed champion of democracy, we have an obligation to try and help these people with their own democratic aspirations.

Look at the thread "exposing mccain", they feel every right to do anything they feel like to anyone, and then claim the other person is doing it to them. He starts with a clip about McCain resembling Swiftboat veterans against john Kerry, then when I call him out, he spews shit, we go on, he says he's gonna stop arguing because I'm the one "spewing republican propaganda". I guess that arguing on the internet is like playing marco polo with Helen Keller.

Maybe if you provided a source so we didn't have to take your word for it.

I have already listed a great many reasons why a person might vote for Obama and why some do.

Obama is not kicking the fuck out of McCain b/c people think he's cute. If you wish to say this PLEASE BACK IT UP WITH SOMETHING or admit you cannot.

B/C he has said this in a speech it must be a major reason why people are going to vote for him, huh?

BULLSHIT

Bull fucking shit. Your a moron and I will explain how.

"then as you get a little further on, you have big city liberals like Bill Ayers and people who want us to give up the war on terrorism."

A comma before and would seperate Bill Ayers, and people. Otherwise, without the comma, the conjunctive properties of and combine both of your subjects.

Which means.........want us to give up war on terrorism applies to your combined subjects.

This makes no fucking sense, is a run on sentence IF you are not including Bill Ayers and people as being the ones who want us to give up the war on terrorism.

Either that, or you simply forgot a comma. In which case, you learn to fucking type, and I will be able to read it. I believe you intended the thought as you wrote it and no mistake took place, and you are now being Zmannish in an effort to win whatever points you can.

This is classic Zman right here. Serves to prove the point I have been making for two days, on how much of a cunt you truly are.

----------

I may search over the other "mistakes" I made with a closer inspection of how your grammar is fucked up.

Or I may chalk it up as classic Zman argumentation.
