| Games People Play Games People Play is where to discuss personal computer, video game console, and arcade hardware and software - be it RPG, Sim, Strategy, Fighting, Action/Platform, or any other category. Although discussion of modern platforms/software will most likely dominate, discussion of classic videogame/computer hardware and software is always enjoyable, and certainly welcome - ESPECIALLY since there are public domain/shareware emulators of nearly every older computer/console available these days. Here's a taste of what awaits you: Nintendo-vs-Sega-vs-Sony, Console-vs-PC-vs-Mac, Hardware spec sheets/information, Industry news and discussion, Software reviews, IRC conference announcements/Reports, Emulators, Emulators, Emulators! ... and much, much more! |

Re: is it worth?
if you always play online with other systems, then xbox live will be a blast.
you can just try a short subscription to see how you like it

Re: is it worth?
Give it a go.
If you just got your system, plug it all in and make an account and sign up to live, it'll give you a free month trial.

Re: is it worth?
Playing online is incredibly fun, if you've got the right games.
See: COD4.
Don't see: GH3.

Re: is it worth?
It's definitely worth the $60 (or however expensive it is I can't remember) a year.

And then when that runs out, create a new account and get another month. You can do this three times.
Personally though, I wouldn't pay for Live, I see nothing special about it. If you enjoy playing online, and it's all you have I'm sure it's great, but it absolutely pales in comparison to online gaming on a PC, and you don't have to pay a monthly fee for that.

I do?
The only fee I'm aware of is the cost of my internet, but I'm paying for the connection, not for gaming specifically.
I mean, if you look at it that way, you're paying two fees to play on Live.
