Note, I kinda rambled, but I'm going to go ahead and leave it in. Skip to the TL/DR Real Question if you don't want to read. Info about a free copy of Starting Strength (1st ed) is in the 3rd paragraph.
Long story short, friend gave me a bodysculting workout book, it doesn't really gel with my goals, so I'm doing what Parallax suggested and found an copy of Starting Strength (1st edition) on a torrent site.
Really quick, I'm fairly sure that I've seen a fair amount of requests for an ebook form of this book. I found it on demonoid. If you don't have an account at demonoid, or don't want to torrent, and want it e-mailed to you (pretty sure it will send as an attatchment), just email me at: peterlahaderne@gmail.com with a request.
Ok, I'm back. But basically, after realizing that the book was mainly made for out of shape people looking to sculpt their bodies (which took me a pathetically long time to understand). Not about strength or athletic ability. So an overhaul of my workout will be coming shortly, after I finish Starting Strength. Probably be making a thread in the near future.
TL/DR Real Question
The only thing that really made sense throughout the entire book was the idea of changing the workouts about every two weeks. The point that the book made was that your body is going to get used to these workouts and that you will experience a plateau if all you do is the same workouts all the time. I'm wondering if there's any truth to this. And, if there is, what you do to avoid plateau-ing.
Thanks for any help, and sorry for the noob thread, but I am a noob
