kava is much, much better as a tea or as a root. those capsules are infamous for being ground up kava plants that include hepatoxic compounds.

and way to list the dosage per cap so we can help. also, way to google kava doses before wasting bltc's time.

Kava is kinda worthless.. You have to use it alot before you start feeling effects, which isn't worth it. But if you feel the need take about 160mgs of kavalactones, you might get a very slight feeling of relaxation

You could probably take all of them and feel fine.
Or.. you know, suffer liver failure.

But being serious, the capsules suck. Drinking the tea is the real shit, but it tastes like kaka.

The tea is awful. But it will chill you out, if you make it hyper-strong.

triple-bag it and slam it down.

Tastes gross, even with added sugar or anything.

I would just make a super potent cup and slam it down as fast as I could.

It works OK, but wasn't anything worth buying again, for me anyways.

Fuck tea and Vitamin Shoppe concoctions. Get yourself some fresh root, or a good 84% paste formulation from a reliable online vendor. Get Hawaiian strain, if you can.

A lot of people bash on kava but in my opinion if you're using good quality stuff it has worthwhile effects. It's not going to relax you in the shut-off-my-brain way that a benzo or opioid will, but it definitely has noticeable sedative and anxyiolytic effects when used in the dosage of roughly 500-600 mg kavalactones or more. This varies a lot person to person; I've seen people who are pretty open-minded to the "herbal remedies" swear up and down they needed a gram of more of kavalactones to achieve results, while I've seen others of the same body size if not slightly larger attain a pleasurable buzz from less than 500 mg.

I don't use it often by itself anymore unless I'm really stressed out but when I'm only planning to enjoy a few cocktails or so as opposed to slamming a fifth of whiskey then I tend to notice a few hundred milligrams compliments a pair of drinks nicely.
