first off someone took a laptop. it had tracking software on it which gave the persons first name and email. the computer was wiped clean by a friend (completely erased EVERYTHING on computer and changed the system number and id/serial number or w/e) it cant be traced now because technically its not the same serial number. thing is cops are apparently looking for him back home. apparently their parents "know" and his ma said in a text "you need to know that we are totally involved in your felonies, u need my help or youll have another felony. i love u. u are fucked." basically saying the po are lookin for me forsure.

only 2 of my friends know that he actually did it but one of them got their house searched and is really fuckin mad at him and im pretty sure he told the dudes parents (they were pretty close as he was my older bros best friend.) now hes not talking to anyone in my family over the phone only on texting but they have all been trying to get a hold of him for about a week.

hes getting rid of it in the next few days to a girl he just met (straight up trading laptops.)
what is going on totse? if he doesnt have it and the po come to the door (now living over 800 miles away from there) do they have enough evidence to fuck him with a felony?? all they had was the first name and OLD email. now im SURE they have my full information but still, all that info is not linked directly to the computer. its deny til they die.

is he going to be in the clear when its gone?
im stressin totse because i have about a total of 400 dollars right now which isnt really enough to get me to mexico.

2.) how do you ask if they have a warrant for me? straight up say are there any warrants for "____ ____?"

1 - As long as its only your friend ratting you need to start pinning EVERYTHING on him. Get "witnesses" to vouch for you. But if you're going to do this you'd have to talk to the cops.

2 - Ya just call them and ask. DON'T forget to call both county Sheriff and City Police because if its with the police the sheriffs wont tell/know and vice versa.

I never stole a laptop but you ALWAYS reformat it as soon as you get it.
Nothing will be on the hard drive.
And also...never ever ever put your real name anywhere i very very rarely put my real name on the net. even my email i use temporaryinbox.com half the time haha.
