I've got two guitarist's including me. I live in the middle of Suffolk County in Long Island, no one in my school can play. What would be the best way to try to find some talented musicians that would be dedicated to making brutal, virtuoso, and technical death metal? I tab what I write with guitar pro if anyone has it and would like to hear some songs I've written or on the off chance someone lives by the area and would be interested IM me on aim at scott ssd2.

Hit up craigslist. Then maybe make a myspace with the clips that you have and look for a drummer through it.

Finding tech metal drummers is fucking HARD. Luckily I play tech-metal drums, but there is almost no one out there who does.

Unfortunately you don't live any where close. Seriously though more people should be better at bass and drums everyone sucks around here. I was thinking maybe go to a bunch of tech death shows and ask around

Drummers are ALWAYS hard to find. After them are GOOD bassist (Alot of garage bands have the less talented guitar player or someones cousin faking bass).

Basically, don't put all your eggs in one basket. Craigslist, myspace, putting fliers up in guitar centers and local record stores, and asking people at shows are all good ideas, if used in conjunction with one another. Just don't expect people beating down your door.

Sadly most bands do deathcore shit (which is terrible), and unless you enjoy screamoish lyrics... don't bother.

The good drummers are out there with huge bands

It pisses me off too like I've got good shit it's just I can't find a drummer.

Im playing guitar in a death metal band, went on craigslist and actually found a screamer... unfortunately he was a really big fuckhead arrogant asshole so it didn't work out
