Default A food joint that serves ramen noodles

Think it would make any money? Like right across from a college university. Have a constant supply of ramen noodles of all flavors available, and for like 75 cents a cup. If you buy in bulk thats more than double the actual cost of the ramen.

Its cheap, no hassle of dirtying pots and pans, boiling water, etc.

I'm not a money hungry jew btw, I just always wanted a place where I could get a meal of ramen for cheap.

This wouldn't necessarily be the only thing served though, other cheap noodles and crap could be served. It could be like all meals and sides under 2$ or something.

Unless you were in the middle of huge university and hundreds of people came in every day you wouldn't make enough money. That is why these places don't exist. The closest ventures are the cheap noodle/fried rice/basic roll places you see on the outskirts of universities. These places offer basic meals for ~ $2.50 - $5.00 and they are quite good value.

While you would have a hardcore base of cheap suckers that would probably come in every day they are only going to be eating a maximum of two-three packets. Say an average of two dollars a day each. However there are a lot of people that don't want to eat Ramen everyday or don't eat it at all or only veryrarely. This comprises the majority of the student population.

Due to the nature of preparing Ramen you would need to employ someone to help you during the rush hours of mid-morning, lunch and mid-afternoon. You would need to pay this person.

In summary, you would have to sell a lot of fucking Ramen at 0.75c a serve to a student body that (mostly) would only see it as an occasional snack to make a profit. Too much.

my school canteen sells korean ramen, there's a large asian population at my school. (its an academically selective school)

in asia, there's convenience stores with instant ramen 'sections', where there are stools and a counter, and you eat it.

actually, at my local 7/11, you can buy overpriced ramen there as well.

in case your wondering, im from sydney, australia.

which school do you go to? is it one of those REALLY 1337 schools like Sydney Boys, Baulkam (sp?) hills, or is it a regular selective school (not as 1337 as the ones on top, but generally better than the ghetto schools.)

anyway, my school had lots of asians too but we dont have ramen. we did have sushi rolls however

College students go out to eat to take a break from eating Ramen noodles and other cheap-ass food, so this business would be a bad idea.

I think this would make more money near a ghetto or housing project.
