I guess if it hasn't evaporated and you know the history of the bottle, there's really nothing wrong with it. I've left bottles open for days in my house.

give it the smell test. if it smells like vodka then your good. has it rained in the past week? if it has then i would bet you got some watered down vodka, your best bet is to go out and buy a new bottle you can get a cheap one for like 6 bucks

And for surely it'll kill bacteria. Hell, the yeast which produces the ethanol in a lot of beverages is eventually killed by alcohol it excretes. This is around 10%. I'd assume most bacteria would have one hell of a time surviving a 40% ethanol environment.. but I'm not really an expert on the subject.

as for how much alcohol has evaporated that could depend on alot of things... i could leave it outside in Siberia for god knows how long but it could be gone in a few days in the desert... temperatures mean alot. theres also surface area. the smaller the exposed surface the slower evaporation will take place... you have a bottle with a thin neck where the liquid is filled to. and you have another container thats more like a pyrex baking dish... left in the sun which one will evaporate faster?

I look older than 21(by everyone i knows accounts) and I get carded nearly every time, in multiple areas for "tobacco products". Some bitch at CVS carded me for a fucking lighter the other day. They probably care less at seedier places so, giving them any kind excuse for not having ID may get you by. I agree though it's a stupid fucking excuse to use, but it's better than saying "oh, nevermind" when they try to card you.

Isn't it the other way reject? ethanol -> ethanal -> ethanoic acid (vinegar). Vinegar is more oxidized then acetaldehyde.
