How many of you actually know about marijuana from its pharmacological stand-point.
When the member ThetaReactor, made a mistake, and surely no-one actually knew, i understood that probobly no-one gave a crap....
Honestly, how many of you know that THC is not an alkaloid?
Or perhaps that, dear opiate-philes, that your arch enemy APAP works with none other but "canabinoid" circuit.
go to the thread and have a look

Show me... nitrogen:)
We all "expert tokers" included know diddly squat, about the pharmacological actions of marijuana, even when we think we do.
Any monkey can understand: "THC GET ME HIGH" mentality.
But dam there is sooo much more to this category of plants then you think possible. From actual alkaloid differences in plant make up, to extensive canabinoid circuit exploration, by modern science.

It's an essential oil. A lot of us know this, but we got these discussions out of the way a long time ago. The effects, pharmacological and subjective, of psychedelics are much more fascinating.

Re: How many of you actually know about marijuana from its pharmacological stand-point.
heres food for thought. the act of getting high off THC is THC saturation of your blood stream...
which explains the theory of why first time smokers may not get high even with proper technique, they'd have to smoke more than regulars, which also explains the theory of reverse tolerance, see all us potheads have fat cells stored with THC, so we saturate quickly...

Ya i read that with GHB some people have to take it 4 or 5 times before they feel effects becuz there body doesnt digest it right or something. But some ppl it works 1st time

of course, why else wouldn't it come out from an acid/base extraction?
Or perhaps that, dear opiate-philes, that your arch enemy APAP works with none other but "canabinoid" circuit.
now THAT is interesting.
even the existence of cannabinoid receptors is mind blowing.
and the correct term is "opiophile"

Hey dipshit, the fact that THC isn't an alkaloid has nothing to do with its pharmacology. Therefore, your title is fucking retarded.

Re: How many of you actually know about marijuana from its pharmacological stand-point.
LOL What forum is this?
Oh, and also, you should know as well as anyone that the definition of an alkaloid is very broad, and though the STRICT definition is that it must be nitrogenous, it is not in fact a rule set in stone. Though it may be an error, or stretch of terminology, it is not entirely wrong to call THC an alkaloid.

Re: How many of you actually know about marijuana from its pharmacological stand-point.
But there are analogs that act on the cannabinoid receptors that DO contain Nitrogen, for example, WIN 55,212-2. WIN 55,212-2 is very active as a full agonist too. These are compositional differences don't affect the pharmacology of the substance in the way that you think it does.
