So I just looked at my cell phone bill, and I couldn't help but notice that Illinois seems to charge a shit-ton of tax on telecommunications.

Illinois is charging me $8.98 for a $73.96 bill (plus 73 cents for "IL 911 Surcharge").

What are you getting charged?
