You can travel much cheaper than that if you plan ahead and know what you're doing. If I recall correctly, this guy's story is that he was a video game developer for like a decade until he got sick of his job and decided to just spend his accumulated money traveling the world.

Personally, I can't watch his videos because they make me sick with jealousy.
