I enjoy the occasional poppy seed tea. However, I have some problems with it. It goes as follows.

I document each of my trips, for interests sake, and out of the last 3 trips, I used the exact same amount of poppy seeds and water. 4 cups of store-bought seeds in 1.5 litres of boiling water.

The first of these 3 times I tripped balls. However, the last two times, I felt very little. In fact, I can barely tell I'm on it right now. The dose did not change. In fact, the time I was tripping I didn't even use lemon juice, and this last time I did.

The poppy seeds are from a consistent source. Does eating beforehand affect the high THAT much? Or does the tolarnace shoot up really high really fast?

I've been doing this for just over a week, once every 3 days or so.

no, in fact, they werent.

belive it or not, poppy seeds arent regulated for their levels of opiates. they are made to be baked with, into muffins and such.

1 bag of poppy seeds can be COMPLETLY different from another, even if its the same brand and everything.

long story short, you cant ever be sure how much opiates your getting from poppy seed tea. one batch might do absolutley nothing for you, the second could give you an unbelivable high. the third batch could make you OD.

Poppy seeds don't contain opiates themselves. They only have opiate residue on them due to being in a pod which produces opium.

Many florists stopped stocking poppy pods for precisely that reason, or stock painted pods. Not saying ALL florists, but a lot. Give 'em a ring and find out. You're better off on the net though where you can order the Hens and Chicks variety in bulk instead of say a bunch of painted poppy pods that earn you dirty glances and muck up your tea.

If you pay attention to the feedback people leave on ebay, the things they say about the product etc, floral use is huge, and it's only reasonable that a run of the mill local florist would have em. It is pretty much the shield that protects people who use them for other things. Like tweakers buying sudafed for a "cold". A REALLY bad cold.


Or someone who enjoys making their own pyrotechnics devices who happen to have a whole shit ton of large stumps that need to be removed. Or drive way cleaner for HCl.
