I've taken a low doses of shrooms to help my headaches.

I don't use them a lot but I always keep some on hand just in case my headaches reach an unbearable level. They really work good too. I would take them all the time (I get really bad headaches a lot) but tripping kinda gets old if you keep doing it.

Sometimes if I'm having trouble staying awake in class or I need that extra kick for studying or a test my girlfriend gives me some of her ritalin. And I smoked pot after I got in a real bad car accident a while back and it did wonders for my neck pain.

Ohh yeah I'm also prescribed temazepam for insomnia, but I don't take it much cause I feel hungover when I wake up. But if I desperately need to go to sleep and cant then I take it.

I use weed as a sleep aid. I'm starting to find though that the longer I smoke the less it helps, which kinda blows. I don't like sleeping pills because I find that the next day I have trouble getting up and I'm really tired throughout the day.

I used to smoke weed for some chronic stomach problems. But I quit a long time ago... It helped a lot. Haven't had the problems return yet!

I used 10mg hydrocodone so that I could play baseball on a twisted ankle for about a week.

Its not a street drug, but its trippy as well.

Smoke clove cigs or put clove in my home rolled cigarettes for pain relief. They give you an effect similar to weed, but it kicks in in the instant and lasts for 10 minutes only. Anyway, it smells very good. It can totally mask the smell of tobacco, so I guess it can mask the smell of hash in case your parents are home or you have to drive and avoid police.

Also, I have used nutmeg and regularly use booze for boredom relief.

I'm perfectly fine to drive a car long distances, but when I'm a passenger, I get car sick. One day I discovered that weed prevents me from getting motion sickness, so now I smoke a bit whenever I have to be a passenger. I don't know if it would work on a boat too, but I can't see why not.

Although I use weed recreationally, it also does the trick as a sleep aid with few side effects (I have terrifyingly awful insomnia). I use it as an analgesic sometimes, as I have back problems and migraine headaches. Weed almost always kills internal physical pain in my body. You get it from dispensaries in states that have legalized medical marijuana, thought this does not mean that these patients are free from prosecution. The Federal Government still has a ban on marijuana and places it at schedule 1, which is illegal and dangerous substances with no medicinal value.

My medicinal and recreational drugs have always been entirely separate. I don't live in a country where over-prescription is rife, and I don't have any acute pain or anything, so the only drugs I ever get on prescription are for hayfever, or antibiotics. I've never really used booze or any other rec drugs to numb pain or anything, mostly cos when when I feel like that I don't want to get wrecked, I just munch some analgesics and go to sleep, wait for it to pass. It must be strange using the same drugs both for a genuine medical issue, but also just for the lulz... if I went to my GP with some BS story about how I have ADD and need ritalin, he'd laugh his fat indian arse off at me. It's better that way. I hope I'm that way when I'm a Doctor. /me

All the meds I've been on for actual problems I couldn't remember and so I'll list just the ones people would abuse:
Clonazepam - Anxiety/Panic Attacks. (There was a long period of hard abuse however)
Adderall/Ritalin - ADHD (Short period of abuse, now I never take more then I'm scripted for)
Hydrocodone - I was sick had something wrong with my throat, the clinic doc said to take tiny sips... yum.

Currently:
My family doctor had been worried and my family scared shitless because I was losing weight at a constant rate and puking up everything I ate, getting nauseous randomly and throwing up whatever liquids I had in me, and feeling like shit in general. My doctor currently hopes it might be acid reflex, I'm not so sure. Got tons of tests over the years and nothing came up, from seeing an inner ear specialist to a doc for epilepsy to getting tested for aids. Nothing shows up anywhere.
Smoking weed doesn't take the nausea completely away but it lets me move around and eat (hold it down too) I gained weight like a motherfucker but after a week without it I lost around 6 or so pounds again and am puking again.
This has been an ongoing problem that seems to come in 2-3month "waves" since I was about 12.

I've told my doctor that I'm smoking to help with it and she supports my decision to do so because of the obvious benefit I get from doing so.
