To remember a time when it was amazing.

Remember Blister, Arena, Cheat, Judgement Day, Portal, especially Portal...fuck man....every single show on the old G4 was completely perfect.

I turned on G4 for the first time in a year yesterday...I got a 6 hour marathon of cops.

A perfect example of the dumbing down of America, when quality programs, with entertaining and educational shows are thrown out for a more mainstream audience, with young, unfunny hosts, and uninteresting shows. I mean everything about them is so bad.

I wanted to kill every one on that fucking network long before they took over tech tv.

I still miss The Screensavers to this day.

I remember watching Fresh Gear, where they did a tidbit on Dance Dance Revolution. I was so excited because I knew my mom would like the idea of a video game with exercise.

Its either unbeatable banzuke
ninja warior
cops
cheaters (not for video games)
or some other stupid shit

Then again before they added all this shit it was always cinematic for the entire day, followed by that show with the two gay guys discussing video games (re-runs from like 3 years back)

I guess not enough people watched those shows, now its down to AOTS and Xplay
They could easily add daily shows that discuss MLG, GB, or other leagues. Somewhat of a video gaming CNN

It is kinda like that say, around E3. the un interrupted press conferences where actually nice. and the rest was demos and displays of what happened on the show floor.

Does anybody remember that show, it would go into details about the birth of a series, or the start of a game studio. it was a good show.

Do video games really need all those TV programs anyway? Everything is on the internet. And Cops is a decent "nothing else good is on" show. Hell, it's legendary. Overplayed by now sure, but I'd take that over hearing some information about video games that I could find out for myself in 4 seconds if I cared to do so.

that show was called icons and it was the shit.

The show with the asian girl was called Filter.

Portal opened my eyes to a whole different world. I remember how badly I wanted a computer and internet connection that could play games like EQ and DAoC and stuff. It was like a year after the show was cancelled that I finally had the experience of playing DAoC.

God I miss that show.

The Screen Savers was quality television.

Even Call for Help was decent. I learned a fair bit from it, growing up.

And X-Play was a LOT better when G4 wasn't around.

portal was the shit, but now for the most part g4 is more or less the same shit that you would find on any other channel, though i think the chick on attack of the show is a serious fox (i don't get the channel anymore, so she might not even be on it now)
