Default Hi-Flow valve for CO2 canister.

Where can I purchase a valve that would connect to a CO2 canister and empty the full can instantly?

I want to make a rapid air injection system.

Canister>valve>hollow ice-pick (syringe) = rapid air injection into animal/person (shark).

It would be survival gear/novelty item!

So you're going for something like this?

Yeah, but with a couple differences.

Any ideas on the valve?

These are compressed air blow guns that work the same as the valve in the knife. One of the guns shown should be adaptable to your needs.

All these these blowers look like they hook up to an air compressor.

Oh man, now I have to make needles for valves. Or couldn't I just force an hollow cone down the hole in the CO2 canister, having it dump all the air out, and have the cone lead up to the injector?

I think this would work, as long as I have it air tight.

I have a bb gun that runs on silicone-spray. Maybe I should crack it open and see how the valve systems work.

Airguns use a small steel tube with the end cut off at an angle to tap CO2 capsules.

The problem with what you want is that the neck of the CO2 capsule isn't that big, and the tube that pierces it has to be even smaller, so you can't get real fast flow out of the thing.

By the by, that CO2-injecting knife is crap.
Might as well clamp a laser and a red-dot sight on your knife too.

I thought of what you said, and bought a few co2 canisters, and well, popped the necks. The flow is almost instantaneous. The tube would be of metal, lets just think of copper tubing, that has an inner diameter equal to or larger than the inner diameter on the neck of the canister. The metal of the tubing just has to be thick enough to nowt bend and break so damn easily.

Just think of a really big, heavy duty syringe.

Do you remember the first "Blade" movie, where Wesley Snipes has little blue tubes-with-needles that blow up his vampire enemies?

Think of a tranquilizer dart, just with a co2 canister, instead of a small charge and juice.

I could even mass produce them! (I have a family member that manufactures toys overseas).

Would you think it's a good idea? It'll be everything the WASP isn't. It wont be marketed as a "knife", and it'll have a barb and pressure actuator, instead a button/trigger.

How should I configure all this? I was thinking of getting a cheap little crossman co2 gun, dissecting it and duct-taping myself up a prototype. Sound good?

You can buy a small adaptor for using little CO2 canisters with larger paintball guns. It's little more than the piercing tube and a threaded connector.
