Issues with the economic recession and the drug trade.
Has anyone noticed lately that it is becoming more and more hard to procure substances, I blame the economy.

You aren't too smart... Let me break it down for you. Drugs don't just appear where you live. Somebody has to transport them - usually from mexico/canada. Transportation requires trucks; trucks require gas. Gas prices are up like 30%........

Except of course you have to take into account 80% of marijuana(the most popular drug and frequent target of the war on drugs) is grown in the United States itself.

Thats a stat I definitely don't believe. Maybe in California but all the shitty weed comes from giant fields where they are too lazy to pick out males, not in the US.

Unless you're in Texas, maybe Arizona, it's not feasible to transport low quality weed from Mexico to all across the US.
Canadian pot only accounts for perhaps 3 percent of all marijuana in the American market, with the other 17% coming from Mexican smugglers.

Then were does all the low quality, seedy mids come from? It has to come out of a gigantic field somewhere. And why is it not feasible? Where are you getting this from? I know for a fact weed gets transported across the country every day.

North Carolina, Colorado, places like that is where the bulk of it comes from. This is straight from DEA reports, you can accept it at face value or try and dispute it.

Not worth arguing over. I see your point but I definitely don't believe it. A stat like that is really impossible to ever know.

I agree that it's most likely not fully accurate, but it's most likely fairly accurate, meaning most of it is grown in the US.

I know that a lot of America's pot comes from Wayne National Forest in KY. You can look it up, there are reports saying that cops find shit-tons every year, but they only estimate that it's 10% of what's there.

Washington is pretty self sufficient in the area of weed and mushrooms, so no matter how bad gas prices get i'm not worried about any weed shortages.

That's wrong IMO...I'm originally from colorado and was deep in the weed game there...Midgrade was RARE there...It was either mexican brick weed or the dankest of the dank bud. Up here in MI where I live now is almost purely midgrade with some canadian chronic (which is nowhere near the quality of colorado buds btw) now and then...I'm pretty sure the midgrade bud is grown by black people, they are a little too lazy to put the extra time in to grow the dankest of dank...the mexicans produce the worst schwag they just let it grow in the field and the whites and asians grow the chronic...Much of the chronic in eastern colorado is grown by a select few Asian growers that I know of (if you live anywhere from Colorado Springs to Boulder and you've had blueberry chances are I know who grew it), whereas the chron in western colorado is grown by a couple of white growers that I know of (paonia purple, afgoo, and orange crush).

Re: Issues with the economic recession and the drug trade.
If the ends of the drug traffickers are not meeting, why the fuck would they sell LESS?:o
This isn't exactly the economy of craft's cheese.... you see.
Why would they not tap into available areas/customers.
If recession had anything to do with it, then drugs would go up in price.... not down in availability.... what do you think the drug cartels (not weed: coke, heroin ect...) have an alternative market to sell their shit. Tho it does seem that they prefer the European market much better then that of the US. Recently.
The dea's publishings/reserch/status/availability/purity reports are freely available online.

Re: Issues with the economic recession and the drug trade.
I have noticed that in the last four years, pot in my area has gone from being 20-25 a qtr to 30-35 (though you can occasionally still find $25 quarters). This is for the schwag and Mexi "brick bud", mind you. It seems like KB and such go at least $50 an 8th, as a rule. This is mostly because area suppliers ussually have to drive at least 300 miles any direction to get shit.

I just think brick weed is the most abundant weed (Not saying I can't get dank buds). But brick weed (shitty or not) is ALWAYS around and who else would grow weed like that except for mexicans?

Nah it's cos it's summer.
Kids off school + kids getting jobs + good weather = increase in drug demand, ergo less to go around.

Yeah, for as long as I have smoked, a gram of chronic weed has always been $20.
This is because drugs are marked up so much that dealers don't really care that the pill of x that was $2 six years ago is now $4. Selling for $25 ea, thats $21 profit vs $23.

I havent seen any effect in weed up in northern Mass.
Im kinda surprised no one has posted saying coke and heroin is affected. Id think since they are imported their prices would be going up.
