Recommend me something!
Looking at most of the other threads on this board, I'm not sure that many people here share my music tastes, but it's worth a shot.
My favorite bands of the late: Ratatat, Girl Talk, Gorillaz, Radiohead, Daft Punk, Justice, and King Crimson and Muse if I'm that sort of mood.
Any suggestions for me? I'd be particularly interested in more mash-up artists are more stuff like Ratatat...

Journey. They are EPIC. Because this is exactly the type of band you were asking for.

Porcupine Tree.
Maybe if Radiohead were more like King Crimson, or King Crimson were more like Radiohead, a Porcupine Tree song would be produced.
Of course that's a really messy and way too broad generalization that fans of any of those three bands would argue with..
Older PT - More electronic, psychedelic
Newer PT - More prog-metal
I probably just did a really shitty job describing these guys, but do your own research. The album in my signature is a good one.

I have Deadwing, and just thought it was OK, but it sounds like their earlier stuff would be more to my liking. I'll check it out!
Also, I like Danny Byrd too. Now, if only I could get my torrents to work again...

If you haven't already, get some pixies.
Cloud Control
Sounds like you'd be into Trip-hop so try Portishead,Son Lux,Dj Shadow,Massive Attack.
Also try Fear Of A Blank from Porcupine Tree, got a King Crimsonish feel in parts.
I hope someone gets that...

Re: Recommend me something!
I don't really think porcupine tree is that good
for stuff like radiohead check out the Benevento/Russo duo. they are sick, two of the best musicians out there in my opinion. You'd also probably like Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains, it's claypool, buckethead, bernie worrell, and brain.
as for mash-up, DJ Mike Relm
also check out Thievery Corporation and Bassnectar for something new
