It's punk. You're not suppose to give that much of a fuck.
Really though, I would go for a Joe Strummer style quiff, grease it back so it doesn't go too curly. and keep it short on the sides.

I have the same problem (with wavy/curly hair). all you do is shave it into a mohawk shape on your head, use a hair straightener thing (forget what they call it) and use a shitlaod of aquanet.
