Crime scene detectives.
Ever since I saw the movie Se7en when I was 14 I wanted to be a crime scene detective.
Now I've given it serious thought and researched it.
And to get to the point I would need to go to a police academy.

not a good idea. my uncle is a photographer for crime scenes. and he is very messed up, i think because of the images he is always seeing

I think if thats really what you want to do, you should go for it. Just be sure you are able to handle all the sick shit that your gonna see. As was stated before, those guys have a tendancy to get fucked up real quick.

Takes a certain kind of person to handle that kind of work. It takes a cold, logical man. If you can handle gruesome scenes, have an eye for detail, and consider all the options, I would say you have what it takes. I've been watching detective shows since i was a little kid. Interesting stuff, especially if you can work on big cases, viz. serial killer stuff.

Truly the only thing that I'm actually afraid of is getting into a case involved with the Mafia or a severely fucked up individual, and I mean severely, like the guy from Se7en who cut Brad Pitt's wife's head off.
Mafia: A hit placed on me, or something similar to what I saw while watching The Sopranos.
