Yeah so, my mom's side of the family is mostly Quebexican and my grandma used to make this dessert called "pudding au chaumeur", or bum's pudding. I have since lost the recipe and don't think any of my relatives'd have a copy, so I was wonderin' if any of the dames and/or gents on OI might have a recipe for it... so yeah; lil help?

ahahaha yeah sorry I prolly should've given at least a vague

l description of it; I haven't had it since I was around 7 or 8 but, it's sort of a cake-ish type of pudding, with a butterscotch sauce that is also made from scratch... served with vanilla ice cream, and away you go!

Ok you need some corn starch and a cup of lean.

And a can of Big Red.

And a condom.

At first I thought itd be toenail clippings, gum off the sidewalk, and old coins some white man gave you but that description sounds fucking awesome!

3/4 cup sugar

1 pinch salt
1 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder

Directions

In a saucepan melt butter or margarine; stir in brown sugar.
Add water and vanilla.
Bring to a boil.
Meanwhile, make the dough.
Cream butter or margarine; add sugar.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to butter mixture alternately with milk.
Pour syrup into a 9 X 13 baking dish.
Drop dough by teaspoons over syrup.
Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes.

^^ sounds legit.

though by "bum's" pudding, i assume you mean a simple, poormans pudding, so it may be bread based. (ie, just bread and syrup with milk in a bowl, then baked)
