i plan on growing mushrooms in the near future and was wondering what the best (most hallucinogenic) strain i should get (either as a spore print or a syringe) i've been to hawkseye.com , they seem to have a good selection but i just don't know that much about 'shrooms to know which ones to pick. there's so many different strains of psilocybe, its kinda confusing, any help would be greatly appreciated. FYI, i live in the Philadelphia region and am looking HARD to find anyone with info or actual product. most of the people i deal with are black and this seems to be a white person thing.

All Psilocybin Cubensis strains, contrary to the different "strain names" that are attached because of different genetic mutations, are still Psilocybin Cubensis. Potency will fluctuate depending on your growing methods. If you're just looking for a small head stash just to get your feet in the water, then the BRF/Vermiculite "PF Tek" is the way to go. However, if you're looking for higher yields, increased potency, and a little more work, you may want to find some more advanced growing techniques.

It ain't easy, let me forewarn you, but it's not rocket science either.

P.S. Don't buy a grow kit, they're a waste of money for something that you can go to Wal*Mart and construct yourself.

Most people go for B+ or Golden Teacher variety.

I doubt there is much difference between all the various names, much like there isn't too much difference between various names of cannabis, it depends more on how it's grown etc than name alone.

But Colombians are very good shrooms

Go to spores101, they have some exotics again, for a while they didn't have them.

THOSE will have higher levels of Psilocyben and psilocin along with Baeocystin which I don't believe cubensis have.

Yeah if you want potency the psilocybe azurescens take the cake by far. But they also have to be grown in cool temperatures and they are more contaminate prone then Psilocybe Cubensis. Panaeolus cyanescens and the mexican strain are a bit easier to cultivate and are more potent than cubensis. But if it is your first experiment I would definitely recomend going with the cubensis.

By far the easiest to grow is actually not cubensis, rather one of the sclerotia-forming species such as p. Atlantis or p. Mexicana. All you do is innoculate a rye grass bag and wait for your precious stones. And they taste nutty and go well when made into a granola bar.
