But, since not everyone will grasp this concept, there will always be racism. Lack of general intelligence in the majority of the worlds citizens will be the downfall of the human race.

Although, in the past hundred years there has been a vast turnaround in the "normal" persons thought on people of different races. So it is possible that in the next hundred years thoughts and ideas will change even more and all people of all races will be accepted by everyone equally.

What do I know, though. I have no qualifications to predict the future. I'll just sit here and hope that people can eventually grasp this concept of equality soon, or I'm afraid that nobody will have the chance.

Racism is a natural survival instinct in humans, one that we have yet to evolve past. What people normally refer to as 'racism' in essentially xenophobia. Xenophobia is a necessary survival trait in primitive/tribal societies. The tribal mind separates everything int he world into two basic groups, the familiar, and the unfamiliar. Those who are 'us' and those who are 'not us'. In mankind's formative years this was essential, strangers often bore disease, foreigners often came to push you out so they could hunt your lands, steal your water, and take away your most attractive and/or healthy women to breed with. Not that this is a bad thing. Racism is still an important part of every cultures natural diet. People tend to strive harder when they think that they're oppressed. It gives lazy people something to bitch about and spoiled kids something to empathize with.

As humans we often resort to animalistic behaviors in order to get through some of the crisis we face on an everyday basis.

Racism is one of the many paths humans choose in order to cope with their lack of understanding of fellow beings of a different color, culture, religion..etc. Unfortunately denial and hatred are two of the emotions people feel when they feel racism. Racism is one of the evil spectrums of society and it is inevitably existent because of the limitations within our bodies.

Expanding upon racism is general prejudice. You will find that every single person has prejudices. Prejudice is the same feeling, but its not specifically against a race. And, just like racism, prejudice among humans is a flaw we are to deal with individually. Those who expand upon their emotion are blind to the reality behind it, but there are some who understand and choose not to act upon it.

Logically, any statement must be falsifiable. If multiculturalism is so great, what's wrong with homogeneous societies? Japan is well over 95% japanese, and they have higher literacy rates than america despite having a language that is twice as hard as english to be literate in(6th graders even have trouble reading newspapers). Why aren't multi-racial societies the most prosperous, like portugal, brazil, mexico, etc? Russia, Japan, the US, britain, etc. are all examples of societies where huge technological breakthroughs occurred when they remained homogeneous. Pop opinion would have you think otherwise though. Without considering the converse, we are supposed to just accept that multiracial societies > homogeneous societies. Why aren't blacks helping the white scientists with all the new tech advancements in large numbers?
