After a cold water extraction has been done on vicodin can the solution be evaporated off so you are left with hydrocodone crystal/powder?

well let's think about this logically shall we?

okay you have yr pills, they've got hydro/apap in them

you get rid of the apap/some or most of the fillers/inactives with a CWE

now yr left with hydro and I dunno, maybe some chalk or whatever is left over that you couldn't get rid of in the CWE, just floating around in this water

so now, if you heat up the water to a point where the water will evaporate or turn into steam and go bye bye, but at a temperature lower than would affect the hydro in anyway

you would have

powder!

left

As long as the heat doesn't damage the chemical, I'd say yeah, you'd be left with the extracted powder.

i was just curious...thought itd work of course im just drinking the solution but for others who prefer insuffulation as a method of administration this is useful knowledge

Probably the same reason I always evaporated the liquid off: So I could snort it [it's rather painful, like snorting crank].

i was intrigued by this thread and so after a quick google search i decided to ask this. has anyone had any experience extracting hydrocodone and then reacting with calcium hydroxide or something similar?

God damn fuck!!. I just spent an hour typing a reply and citing references, only to have it dissapear when it hit the "submit post" button.

The flavor of the post was:

Unless you have alot of Vic's (like at least 100 5/500's, or .5g) it's not really worth it to evap and crystal/powder, just drink what you need and save the rest. Even if you do have that many, on average, the first timers or first few timers will lose alot of the hydro. Out of the 500mg's, they will typically only get back 350-425mg's. That is already a loss of 20-30 pills. And in that you will have a fair bit of APAP still. Not that that really matters, hydro is not a fun injectable. Unless you really like histamine. Swollen face, etc.

Now Meta, I see you said that IF you were to do it, you would like to snort it. I'm betting you would'nt CWE just one dose? Thats something the kids here need to know if they want to maximize they're therapeutic doses. How much would you CWE at a time? If you did?

P.S. A little APAP does potentiate the hydro dose.
