I want to set up my own vending machine in a popular public place for my own personal profit. It would be a Coca-Cola machine, most like cans.

Is this legal or do I have to be part of some registered organisation bullshit to avoid being sued?

ud probly have to contact the coco-cola people. and get a permit depending on where you set it up.

Hire a coca-cola machine from coca-cola, and get permission to use the land it will be situated on. Doesn't sound to hard? I can't foresee any legal issues if you are renting from them.

Just camp out and watch a certain Cola machine. Wait for the owner of the machine come to pick up money from it and beat the shit out of him. Rob his shit. Go through his wallet and keep pictures of his kids. Tell him the machine belongs to you now, and if he tries to go to the cops, you'll kill his family.

If you own a property like a store you can arrange for Coca-Cola to put a machine in front of or inside your store. They give you a percentage I think, or maybe a monthly rate. But since you don't own a store, I'm pretty sure they don't let people set up their own Coke machines. You're using their logos and product name and all that, and most major companies keep strict control on that sort of stuff. I'm not sure how they would feel about you stocking a generic machine with Coke products for resell, though.

Along the same lines though, you can make a fuckton of money by getting snack machines and setting them up somewhere, with the property owner's permission of course. They will probably ask for a cut or a fee. One machine won't get you that much, but several throughout your area would. You just have to be willing to do all that driving around and restocking, not to mention dealing with all that change. There's a good chance your machines will be vandalized, stolen from, or broken, so be ready for that.

As long as you own the machine and have permission from the landowner where the machine is located, I don't see what anyone could do about it.

I know of two instances where people have had branded machines (Coca-Cola), and have purchased their own drinks and sold them out of them without a problem.

One was a beauty salon that my late Mother used to patronize.

They had one of the old types that you pulled the bottle out of a small opening behind a glass door.

The current one that I am aware of is at a local junkyard that I frequent.

The owner has an old machine from the late 70's-early 80's, and he goes to the local Wal-Mart when they have drinks on sale and purchases them by the buggyfull.

He loads his own drinks, and keeps the profits.

He has been doing it for years with no repercussion.

Truthfully, if you had the equipment, you could probably cart a machine into an area that isn't extremely busy where everyone would notice a vending machine that isn't usually there. Then, after being there for a while, people would just take it for granted, as long as the land owner didn't notice it.

This is hilarious. I thought I would add my 2 cent's worth of nothing here for fun.

I work in a huge, HUGE plant. I was talking to the guy that services the vending machines, well some of the machines that are there under contract through the aramark company that runs the 5 lunchrooms we have.
He told me during our manditory week off while contract workers changed over the machinery, he processed 20,000 bottles of pop. He said that the monday and tuesday we came back he processed 5000 more. He said that the machines will hold 900 bucks in coin. He only deals with the bottle machines, he doesn't do the can, or the snack machines. Thats alot of damn coin.
