how come
in horror movies the women, when chased by the killer, always breaks a heal/trips and falls and then crawls backward screaming at the killer untill she dies? why dont they just get back up and run?

Or because she's a non essential character, and they don't want to waste time explaining how a lumbering lummox of a killer plodding around at the speed of slug fucking caught up to a woman running at full speed for someone so trivial in the whole of the story.

Or how the antagonist manages to teleport into the path of the victim, setting them up for the painfully cliché moment where the victim turns around to find the killer not still chasing them, then they turn back and are face-to-face with the killer.
Yeah, its gay.

How come, no matter how slow the killer is, they catch the person they are chasing?  Just like Jason. If I saw him I'd kind of run to a car that works and hit his legs so he could only crawl.
