Ideal Robbery
this is very hypothetical, but recently I have been musing on the problems with robbery. The way I see it you can rob stores or banks which have lots of security and people for a big payout, you could rob houses B&E style and get shot by the gun toting citizens of our fare country. So I was thinking the best way to control the variables and tilt the odds in your favor would be to do the following:
Stores and large cheap restaurants have large amounts of non-sequential cash and every night the cash is locked in a safe in the managers office, then (and I dont really know the details here) the money is deposited in the bank. As I said before a B&E the trying to crack the safe is a pretty difficult way to do things, but what if you hit the money when it was in transit to the safe? I would assume the GM makes regular trips to a certain bank once or twice every week, because they sure dont have armored trucks picking up the cash. So if you were diligent and studied the timing and route that the manager took on his way to the bank you could hypothetically pick the location o your robbery. I would try to get into a fender bender with said manager, and then when you went to share info just taze him, take his cell, keys, maybe even his car, but most certainly the package of bills he is carrying.
please elaborate on this hypothetical plan, I am trying to go for the most practical, low risk, high reward situation.

Re: Ideal Robbery
It would be hard because the fiery would know better than to walk into a dark alley. He would probably walk in busy areas. Do you research before you actually do it. Follow him one day and just make a note of his routes and decide when to attack. Also, if the time doesn't seem right, don't go for it. Wait for him the following week.

Re: Ideal Robbery
Your best bet would just do an armed robbery on the dude when hes walking to his car. Maybe a little mace/pepper spray in the eyes. Then buck into some woods and make your way into a neighborhood where you'll have a car waiting.

Re: Ideal Robbery
Local pubs and bars are the way to go if you want a tidy sum of money.
Last year I picked glasses in a pub for a bit of cash. Every night the bar staff would count all the money collected during the day. It would then be put into money bags. Then every Sunday night these moneybags would be thrown into a safe for the manager to collect and put into the bank on Monday morning. These moneybags each contained €1000 and there could be 10 - 12 collected every week.
So with a bit of B&E you could collect a few of these bags and leave.
Don't ask me why the moneybags were not thrown into the safe every night. It's just the way it was run.

Re: Ideal Robbery
Be careful with those assumptions. Many places that deal nightly in large amounts of cash like bars, liquor stores, and delivery joints actually keep only enough money in the safe to make change and run the tills and take all the extra to an after-hours drop at a bank. Busting into the joint might not actually net you much, except an alarm call and a short encounter with the police.
In both cases where I've known of this firsthand the managers carrying the cash were armed and paranoid, but you could wait and try to jump them if you liked. And probably get away with it if you learned the patterns and were prepared enough. One local liquor store was in the papers not long ago when the owner was jumped by a band of thugs who took his cash, then tried to "silence" him by taking badly aimed potshots from across the street with a .22. He returned fire with the .45 he had on himself the whole time, killing one bandito and wounding the other enough to slow him down until the cops got there.

That's what I'm always scared of and is why I never do violent crimes that warrant death. (cept burglary but I make sure no ones home) I'm from Georgia so everyones strapped. I'm personally a great shot. I was raised with guns.
Since I'm a convicted felon I had to "get rid" of all my guns though. But I purchased a fucking cross bow so If someone fucks with me I'm going medieval on their asses.

Re: Ideal Robbery
Hmmm....okay, for one...bad idea, so I guess that's why it's in this forum. I know multiple store owners who when transferring cash at night, carry a gun in the other hand (maybe even hidden by another money bag...hmmm??). Someone approaches them trying to use force, guess what, you're fucking dead. Larger stores, even the ones who gross $10,000 a day, most likely use armored services. So..I say, don't do it. Don't try robbing poor mom and pop stores either, I hate motherfuckers that do that. Rob the corporations who are responsible for our shitty economy, and whose CEO is sitting on a fat 60 mil a year salary.

Re: Ideal Robbery
Many managers who transport their money from store to bank have police escort.

Re: Ideal Robbery
Find a large store that DOES use armored trucks.
Spend several days up to several weeks on surveillence.
Make notes of when first employee arrives, last one leaves, etc etc.
Find out where the safe is exactly, even if that means "accidentally" stumbling into the employee's only area.
Find out what time the armored truck comes.
When you hit, do it the night before it arrives, so the safe will have the most cash.
Disable the alarm system (Im going to assume you know some methods for that)
Break in discreetly.
Use whatever safecracking method that fits the situation best.
Take cash.
Get the hell out.
Crime shouldn't be noticed until that morning.

Re: Ideal Robbery
pppssssssttt. Hey Buddy...wanna buy a watch?
Sorry, so If I can have your attention on this one right here?
I've thought long and hard on this one. There would be nothing better than a wintry evening, such as say like.....Thanksgiving holiday, and the fore knowledge and habits of your local movie house manager. If you add a season opening blockbuster to the mix, I believe you would have the perfect conditions for some serious return from an insured, Hollywood owned, and recession booming venue. Do you have any idea how much cash runs through a theater.
