I didn't know what "hookah" was so I looked it up and apparently it's that one device the caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland uses to smoke his tobacco or whatever it was. It can be used to smoke tobacco or marijuana, but would it probably mean in this case to smoke the latter? He's from Texas.

Also, looking this up has inspired me to watch Alice in Wonderland. Haven't seen it in a while. Gonna watch it again.
