Question So, what's the deal with Pawn shops?

Say I go to my friendly neighbourhood pawn shop, and give the guy at the till a bunch of shit to pawn. Is it no questions asked? Should I give a fake name? How good are they, for when you can't find a reliable fence?

dont try selling anything obviousley stolen. and try to use local places, instead of like pawn america.

also, its normally one of the first few places cops look if a bunch of things are reported stolen frequently.

bigger places normally i.d. some local shops may not

You should go to a privately owned place that you know doesn't I.D. The best way to find out is to take something non-stolen, like some crap C.D.s you have and don't like. Then after you have they know you, start to take in the stolen goods. And make sure they don't have cameras, because police always check pawn shops.

You cant just go to a pawn shop and sell stuff. They take your ID, address, all the info on you and they also trace the serials to see if its stolen. Don't pawn it using a national chain.

done this before. stay away from chain and private pawns, cuz if they know its stolen, they want nothing to do with it normally. Now i go to SW florida bout 2 times a year. at the flea markets down there that r run by mexicans, theyll more than gladly take it becuz it normally sells in about a couple of hours. no mattter where u live, there are probably flea markets close by. check em out

Flea markets are the place to fence. They're not required to enter items into any database.

Neither are pawn shops.

The local police in most jurisdictions keep track of the pawn shops and the flea markets.

Yep Flea Markets. They cost like $7-$16 to get a booth.

There are a ton everywhere. Just don't go to one near your city for obvious reasons.

Is it too hard to just sell on ebay?

Pawn the shit in a distant shop, wear hat and glasses, bring a hobo and pretend he is your dad, make it look like you found this shit in the attic.
