I think I like to do just about everything alone. I mean, I like having access to people that I can do things with, but I generally prefer to be completely free.

In particular though, I love going to the movies alone. I went to Batman alone today even though I had two groups of friends who wanted to go today. You don't have to deal with assholes trying to talk to you while you're watching the movie, nor do you have to accomodate them by holding their seat, waiting for them, or other such gayness that may arise.

I go out to bars and clubs with people, but I'm known for either disappearing without a word, or for just randomly getting up and saying "I'm leaving, see ya tomorrow" when I'm bored.

EDIT: I honestly can't understand why people like going to movie theaters with people. Seeing a movie with a date sucks, as unless you've already fucked her, you won't be able to focus on the movie. Seeing it with a group sucks because of the things I mentioned in my first post. I go to a movie theater to escape.

Either way there isn't any shame in it as long as you aren't a drunk.

A select few dumbasses attempted to make fun of me for drinking alone (usually in preparation for going out, though sometimes, like now for instance, when I'm bored), and I pointed out how insecure they were.

I am pretty much a drunk though, so...whatever. It's mainly to fight my perpetual boredom.

It's like, when I want to leave, I want to leave. I can't be fucked with the hassle of drunken mates going "Oh, come on man, stay out! We're going to [club] now!" So, I just fuck off quietly and leave them to it. Not that I go before the end of a pub crawl very often, but occasionally it happens.

I love watching films I've never seen before alone. I really don't like watching them with someone that's seen them before. I'm not sure why, other than it makes the film less of a personal experience when someone else is there. For example, Irreversible. It would've sucked to watch that with someone else, especially during the 20min rape scene. Would have been uncomfortable as fuck.

I also like to listen to music alone. I like to listen to stuff that most people don't understand, so it's always easier to enjoy it alone.

Getting drunk/high alone is also fun because you are free to indulge yourself completely without having to do what other people want.

i like to have at least a couple hours to myself each day to just do whatever i feel like or nothing at all. it's gotten to the point where i need that time to relax and stay out of an irritated mood. if i have to work all day, and then someone asks me to do something afterwards, i actually get a little angry because even though it's something i'd like to do, i never got a break of time to myself so i feel pissed. so then i'll use the late night time to relax instead of going to sleep, even if i'm dead tired. i don't like to feel like days are slipping away from me with no solitary leisure time.

I'm thinking about starting heroin a couple times a month or so.
