I was wondering what people think the political implications are going to be between U.S. and Israel (will we fight terrorism there as well, marching tanks through their streets and conducting house by house searches), and what this means for Obama's journey there.

I was also wondering if a poll has been taken yet to figure out how many Americans saw the assassination plot uncovered on the news and said "Damn, so close."

I wouldn't lose much sleep over Bush pushing daisies as long as his cronies don't start blaming Iran. In the end, if he gets killed while in office the American people will lose many more freedoms in the name of fighting terrorism on our own soil, even though this happened on the other side of the world. His entire administration would need to be taken out at the same time in order to keep our rights even close to safe, but they purposefully do not travel together because they know this danger.

Honestly though, how fucking incompetant can you be to be unable to figure out how to shoot down a helicopter with a shoulder-fired missile? These knumbskulls asked on a forum about how to do it for fuck's sake. I'm certain its almost as easy as going down to the local video store to ask for the "adult movies" as buying a sniper rifle in any Arab nation. A well-placed shot to a pilot, Bush, engine, or rotor assembly and its mission accomplished.

Just remember guys, it's dumbasses like this that the Patriot Act was drafted to protect against. Fuck that bullshit.

I admit that in the moment of hearing it I thought "Too bad they were stopped". Upon reconsidering however, I see how bad the shit would have gotten were the manchild murdered. It would definitely be used as a catalyst for more freedom snatching. It would have been like Bush was fucking us from the grave.

Also, killing the dipshit now would be too little, too late, wouldn't it? Killing him before the '04 election would have been a better time to assassinate the man. He has less than a year in office, then he has the rest of his life to be hated and despised by the majority of the thinking world.

Death would be a kindness to him. My only hope is he realizes this 10 years down the road, and upon completing his mostly apologetic memoires, paints the last page with his tiny brain.

Only then, I think, would I accept his apology.

President Bush being assassinated would be the last thing anyone in the world would want. That would have given a reason for the corrupt leaders of our country to do as they damned well pleased. An assassination of the US President over foreign soil would have been used as all the justification this government needed to do whatever they wanted. I would hope that the failed assassination plot was not failed based on police interception of information, but because the individuals themselves were smart enough to realize what a big mistake killing a US President would be. We all complain about the shit this Administration gets away with today. Think about how we will be locked up for complaining about even worse shit an Administration does after its Chief is assassinated.

Actually, this sounds like something right up Israel's alley. False flags and whatnot is something they have a bit of a history of.
