He was supposed to be going out with his friends tonight, and he hasn't gone out with his friends for ages, and so he was all dressed up and covered in cologne and whatnot, he spent like 2 hours getting ready. Then I guess his friend called and cancelled, 'cause now he's just sitting there in the lounge room looking sad. The TV is off, and he's just sitting there in the dark.

I asked him what was up, and he just kind of muttered 'nothing'. He looks really lonely.

I'd go and hang out with him, but he's a loser, and I have important stuff (whiskey) to do (drink). Should I say something to him or what?

Yeah we talk sometimes, but we don't hang out. He's 40 and I'm 20 so not much in common. Besides, he's a very sociable person, and I'm very not sociable. He talks alot, and I don't like to listen to people ramble, so I avoid starting conversations with him.
