What kind of cough syrup did you try? Do you have any one with DXM in it, if so then check out the links on here about DXM and how to achieve different plateaus.

I don't know what you can buy at the store that is really worth the money. I mean there are things but it's just not even worth it in my mind. Try buying a pack of cigs and smoke a few fast and get a nicotine buzz...or wear a nicotine patch for a day. Sorry to say but you are pretty limited with things in an average store that are probably overpriced products.

With cough syrup, you need to ensure that it contains DXM not all cough syrups will work (just in case you didn't know).

With the nutmeg, the fresher, the better. Be advised that it can take up to 7 hours (or even longer) to take affect. I've never done it, to be honest, so I can't give you information on quantities or technique (some other person probably can though).

But, seriously, there's plenty of other drugs besides marijuana you could use... MDMA, LSD the list goes on. You could even go looking for mushrooms if you're short on cash. DXM is alright, but I wouldn't bother. Can't comment on nutmeg; but my friends tell me that it isn't all that good.

Also, the other thing you may want to consider is 'legal' highs. Depending on your location, Salvia may be legal to buy/possess. There's also stuff called 'Herbal Ecstasy', which I've heard good things about. You might also want to try Damiana. There's a million-and-one legal products you can buy, some are crap; some are actually decent.

You could also try Jenkem, or Raid. :P
