ATM Robbery. Not hacking, straight-up break-in.
OK, so some guys I know have read all the text files on this subject, and they particularly like the thought of liquid nitrogen. Their question here is, how can they get some, store it for a few days, safely transport it approximately 200 miles, all without arousing suspicion or dying due to a tank explosion or lack of oxygen?
Also, they have experimented with a thermite/clay mixture that can stick to things, and they wonder of a logical way to rob one. I guess what I want the people of BI to do is give me some ideas of how to do this.
They have this all worked out in terms of how to get there and back, as well as dealing with alarms, just not the best way to break open the damn thing. They are looking at either a small convenience-store ATM holding about 5000-15000, or if it proves easy enough, a standalone holding 50000-200000. As of now, the method of choice seems to be a small ATM and sticking the loading door with thermite/clay mixture (this will be done in a small town with a very low police presence, when the store is closed), and lighting it, waiting a bit, and grabbing cash.
In April, I (as well as the friends) saw on the news that some guys robbed 7 ATMs, and they were all the standalones holding over 75000. They got in by breaking the locks of the loading doors and got away scott-free. This situation would be ideal.
So, please give them some ideas on how to do this, they are seriously open to anything.

You could always find out when they fill them, and strike soon after.
But as for liquid nitrogen. Would those computer air dusters work? It should at least work for master locks. Maybe you could break other lock set-ups by freezing and smashing also.
I haven't personally had any experience with these small ATMs, but I have access to a "graveyard" for those big outdoor stand alone atms and may be of some help in that department.

Re: ATM Robbery. Not hacking, straight-up break-in.
How they did them in NZ was steal a flatbed truck with a Hiab crane on it.
They then backed into the machine to knock it off its base & then used the crane to lift it onto the truck.

Re: ATM Robbery. Not hacking, straight-up break-in.
Why would you mix clay and thermite?
So it would stick to it?
Just put the thermite over the numberpad and ignite it.
I might try this someday.

Re: ATM Robbery. Not hacking, straight-up break-in.
Where is the cash stored in the machine? When you receive cash out of an ATM it comes out next to the screen. So I would conclude that the cash cassettes are behind that (correct me if I'm wrong). What would sticking thermite on the number pad do?
Look up 'ram raiding'. That's how they steal them out here.

Re: ATM Robbery. Not hacking, straight-up break-in.
Hazards
Thermite usage is hazardous due to the extremely high temperatures produced and the extreme difficulty in smothering a reaction once initiated. The thermite reaction releases dangerous ultra-violet (UV) light requiring that the reaction not be viewed directly, or that special eye protection (for example, a welder's mask) be worn. Small streams of molten iron released in the reaction can travel considerable distances and may melt through metal containers, igniting their contents. Additionally, flammable metals with relatively low boiling points such as zinc, whose boiling point of 907 °C (1665 °F) is about 1370 °C (2500 °F) below the temperature at which thermite burns, could potentially boil superheated metal violently into the air if near a thermite reaction, where it could then burst into flame as it is exposed to oxygen.
Preheating of thermite before ignition can easily be done accidentally, for example by pouring a new pile of thermite over a hot, recently-ignited pile of thermite slag. When ignited, preheated thermite can burn almost instantaneously, releasing a much greater amount of light and heat energy than normal and causing burns and eye damage at what would normally be a reasonably safe distance.
The thermite reaction can take place accidentally in industrial locations where abrasive grinding and cutting wheels are used with ferrous metals. Using aluminium in this situation produces an admixture of oxides which is capable of a violent explosive reaction.[3]
Mixing water with thermite or pouring water onto burning thermite can cause a phreatomagmatic explosion, spraying hot fragments in all directions.
Yea, dont use thermite... even if you're safe, you'll burn the cash
what about a plasma cutter

Re: ATM Robbery. Not hacking, straight-up break-in.
... You guys way over think things.
The one's in the stores are really thin steal.
You can use a nice size pry bar to bend it mostly open, than cut the hinges off with a grinder.
From what I can remember they're like1/16-1/8" steel and on the locking side there's a thick as steal bar locking the door. Inside there will be cassettes, they just pull right out, they're not locked down.
If you guys think you're going to find one of the ones that are at a convenience store full of money, you're a damn fool. Those usually have only about $1000-$2000, so don't think you're going to pull a cassette out to a tray full of money, you'll be severely disappointed, I was.
AND if you do happen to score a lot of money one, be careful spending it. The bills are always in sequential order. The bank is the one that stocks these things, so if you're caught I'm pretty sure they may be federal charges.
Good thing is, you all are too stupid to even get close to pulling this shit off.

Re: ATM Robbery. Not hacking, straight-up break-in.
I think it would be easier stealing CATS, caterpillars, hysters or whatever. Loading them onto a heavy duty trailer and selling them to farmers for 40-180k each.
If you manage to get a atm use a angle grinder

Re: ATM Robbery. Not hacking, straight-up break-in.
Here's you an idea......You know those great big steel boxes around the side of the bank that noone looks at usually because its an eyesore? yeah the one with a farm tractor flap cap on the top of a pipe? Thats the back up generator for the bank. If you pry the cover off that box, there is no alarm, but alot of copper...or a good sized generator, what ever your market is. I think its kinda funny too.

GOOD IDEA
Just find someone you hate. Hide the shit in their garage/behind their shed/etc...
Call the cops say they told you about it. And you couldn't sleep at night and the secret has been killing you inside. Cause you're a good ol' Christen boy.

I couldn't help but lmao at the thought of someone like me trying that.
If you have no criminal record then yeah it may be worth a shot.

Re: ATM Robbery. Not hacking, straight-up break-in.
God damn.
Put the thermite over the "EPP"-thing and ignite it. With enough luck it will melt the steel front and since there is space (The front steel doesn't touch the money cartridges) it's very possible to melt the steel without burning the cash.
Get it? The cash MIGHT not burn. Fuck. Big money.
EDIT: Or at least it will melt the vault making it thin enough to break easily.

You can get liquid nitrogen from your friendly neighborhood welding supply store, not that it will work.

Guys, ATM's are not worth it.
Stop trying.
If by some miracle you bust the machine open without setting an alarm, you aren't going to get the money without ink and GPS's fucking you over.

Don't you know how awesome pursuits end? You crash with a gasoline-truck. Now THAT is awesome. Not the dying part, but how you die.

I've seriously thought over kidnappings and the only way you can pull it off is if you get the ransom in gold.

Re: ATM Robbery. Not hacking, straight-up break-in.
Gold? Interesting.
That might be a bit hard to sell in large amounts and maybe the sneaky bastard made a metal shell for the GPS and poured some liquid gold over it, making it into a gold bar with a GPS tracker...
I've thought about something. People have unused... THINGS. Like cecal (Vermiform appendix). With skill you could remove it and install a small plastic BALL where it used to be. It wouldn't be noticed. The ball would have a radio detonator or some other that can pass through meat. It would be filled with explosives mixed with PURE NICOTINE. The nicotine will kill with five drops. When you detonate the bomb the victim won't be shred to piece but will get massive internal bleeding. The nicotine would mix to the victims blood causing a heart failure as if the bomb wasn't enough.
I could install it inside the kidnapped person without him/her knowing. If I'd get caught I'd detonate it. At least I would get revenge.
Another way would be installing a microphone to the victims husband/wife/parent and give him only 12 hours to get enough money. Then just make sure no police is involved. Hmmm...
You know those cellphone credit things you can call and they give like 500 $ on your bank account and you have to pay it in a month or it will be about 1000 $?
You could make the victim's parent/hus/etc get a lot of those loans and withdraw the money from the bank. Family's car would be sold quickly. You could easily get about 30.000 $ from this. And there wouldn't be risk.
If you wanted a million dollars the risk would be huge. But I'd rather get my 30k and freedom than get executed.

Re: ATM Robbery. Not hacking, straight-up break-in.
OK I got it here.
Obtain pickup truck, 25 feet of heavy chain with hooks on ends, and some friends.
Attach chain to pickup truck. Trailer hitch?
Drive to parking lot of place where ATM is.
Change clothes, cover face with mask, wear gloves
Remove license plates, put in glove box.
Have one friend keep watch on road.
Crowbar doors open, or ram with truck.
Attach chain to ATM.
Pull ATM out into parking lot away from security camera view.
Use friends to load ATM in back of truck
Drive to nearby place where there are no cameras and no cops.
Open up ATM with sawzalls, crowbars, cutting torch, whatever, remove cash.
Dump ATM in nearby dumpster
Drive to another place with no security cameras.
Change clothes, put license plates on
Go to bar or somewhere and get an alibi.
Park truck in a garage somewhere for several months.

Re: ATM Robbery. Not hacking, straight-up break-in.
You need 3 - 5 people. 1-3 people outside covering main routes of approach, all with police scanners and 2 way radios.
2 people inside prying on the bastard with 1 small 1 medium and 1 extra large prybar.
try and hit the smaller atms they usually have in quick trips/kum n go's/ gas stations. those can be easily breached relatively quickly. They may not have the possible 50g payload of a banks exterior ATM, but I can vouch for a small ATM carrying 5000 in one cassette. If only there were more cassettes!
Another good cash maker is in most bars. Good thing about bars are, A LOT of bars have NO security especially in small ass towns. Get in and break open the "gambling machines" and video poker games and all that crap they have in there. if there are multiple machines its worth it, but only one machine dont bother. between 3 or 4 different machines 1500 would not be an unreasonable accomplishment.
Believe me or not up to you. But im not the type of person to type all this for no reason
Whatever you do, dont deposit the freaking money!! just keep the cash on hand
Go to the casino, easy way to swap out possible "hot" bills
