This is the most epic live performance EVER
Right here....
I've yet to see much which really beats this. The music, the visuals; the sheer scale of it all. They've taken an amazing song and just catapulted it into the stratosphere. From the calm piano intro 70,000 people clap and sing along to, the sick guitar solos, the blissful choruses, and to the heavy fucking outro. (Which you'll enjoy if you're a RATM fan ).
Man, I wish I could be back there in that audience. It was one of the best I've witnessed.
Come on someone, prove me wrong! Find me a performance which beats this I'm especially interested in bands that are still about and will tour again...

Muse is definitely one of the best live bands out there.
Pink Floyd, whilst obviously not touring, have always put on a pretty epic show themselves.

That was sick. Man, I really need to start getting into Pink Floyd. What I've heard so far is so good and people obviously hold them in high esteem.
Dark Side of The Moon the best place to start?

Dark Side of The Moon is definitely the best to get into them (my first floyd album); after that, I would strongly recommend 'Wish You Were Here' and 'Saucerful Of Secrets'.

Re: This is the most epic live performance EVER
Matt Bellamy is a fucking deity. He's fucking amazing... The guitar, the piano, the voice, the fucking rock and roll show he puts on.
Uhm this isn't nearly as epic, but I'm gonna post a live performance that just makes me wish I was fucking there.
Probably wasn't as expensive to set up as the muse set, but man I think this is fucking beautiful... Look at the guy in the jeans and white t shirt dancing! He's my hero...

Re: This is the most epic live performance EVER
I fail to see how that pertains to RATM, save for the pinch harmonics and Morello-esque pedal effects.
That definitely does compete with this on my list of best live performances. Touché, OP.

Man, I NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED to see RATM live sometime. I wanted to check em out this year when they did a few gigs, but I'm broke as fuck I'm begging they'll be back on the circuit sometime else in the future.
And in the link in the OP he play's a bit of Microphone Find riff right at the end
If you liked it, you should check out Stockholm Syndrome from Glastonbury. It's probably Muse's greatest ever performance: absolutely unbelievable.
Surprise Buttsecks I enjoyed this man. Seemed like one of those rare moments at a show where the whole crowd was united as one and the performer actually looked like he was loving it.
