any one else like this?
Usually i love all types of food, you name it and i'll probably like it.
But in the last couple of weeks a have had NO appetite. i'll think "I'm hungry", get up to get some food, then when i get to the kitchen, the thought of eating makes me feel physically sick then i forget about eating for the next couple of hours until it repeats the cycle.
Any ideas? any one else like this?

Not so much on the feeling sick part. Mine's mostly due to boredom.

Re: any one else like this?
Naw, my problems stem from the fact that I tend to do all the cooking around the girlfriend and my place, so there are moments after a long day when I get in and I simply have no desire to step into the kitchen for an hour or longer to put something together.
It's not nearly as bad now that I'm working as a tech specialist at the local university instead of manager of a bar/restaurant. There were days there when I'd get done with a ten hour day (at least two hours before opening, books, then supervising our idiot opening servers, closing lunch, and probably being first off the floor that night), and bloody hell, the last thing I'd want to do is look at food. Those were the nights I would say "Screw it. We're going to the truck stop for a bite."

Weed solves hunger problems, you'll also probably enjoy cooking stoned.

Re: any one else like this?
If you step into my kitchen stoned, I guarantee you'll meet either my 12 inch cast iron skillet or my immaculately sharp carver or chef blade rather promptly. The same applies if you've been drinking to excess. Too many goddamn sharp, hot, or otherwise dangerous objects about and my patience wears thin with that shit way too quickly.
You're more than welcome to sit politely out of my way and keep enjoying whatever substance you please, however. Leave me to do the work. You go have fun.

If I'm inactive I don't eat (I don't get hungry). The way I see it, if I'm not burning calories doing exercise, I don't really need more calories until I'm actually hungry. I think this keeps my weight in check (along with a speedy metabolism, I'm on the thinner side). I hate the thought of eating out of boredom.

Indeed. I'm gonna venture that anyone who thinks I'm being too harsh about being affected by various substances whilst in a kitchen has never worked in a commercial kitchen, and seen the havoc that it causes. Now, I won't say my home kitchen is nearly as crazy as a commercial/restaurant kitchen, but that just means you're more likely to be further gone via the effects of whatever you're indulging in, and I simply don't have the patience to deal with it, nor do I care to be making trips to the emergency room because someone was gone enough to forget that cooktops are hot, knives are sharp, pans are full boiling liquids or hot oil, etc.
So yeah, call me an asshole if you want, but being fall-down drunk, stoned, or otherwise visibly-chemically enhanced is still a recipe for injury, regardless of whether I'm an asshole or not.
