I'm going to Jamaica in about a week, staying at the Beaches Boscobel resort in Ocho Rios. Anyone who's been there have any suggestions on what to do/where to go to get bud? I've heard it's rather easy, but then again, I've also heard tales of dealers and cops working together to bust tourists. Any help would be much appreciated, as I don't want to spend any time in a Jamaican prison or have my throat slit by a crazy Rastafarian dope slinger.

I don't think that they work together, but more the fact that tourists buy the shit from beach vendors and get busted smoking it cause they think its legal.

I'd say just walk up to your stereotypical rusta man and ask for a doobie or something, i doubt anyone would have first hand experience on this board.

yeah i've been to ochos rio when i was 8, so yeah didn't try to look for pot lol... anyways there's a sweet 800 foot waterfall with a gradual incline, lot's of tourists go there, and they all hold hands on the way up so they don't slip and fall...i've always wondered if they've ever had a domino effect by doing that lol...that would be fucking hilarious...the waterfall stream goes right into the ocean, it's pretty fucking sweet...also check out the jungle theres a forest i went to there called fern gullie (like the movie), anyways jamaica is just fucking sweet... yeah i've heard that the jamaicans work with the popo because they dont like white people but idk man just find a fucking rasta i doubt he would fuck you over considering he's all religious about a religion that isn't real..anyways have fun

Nice, sounds like you're going to one of those higher-end all inclusive resort. I went to Rui Ocho Rios about a year and a half ago and drugs were so easy to get it wasnt even funny. If you have the patience to get the best bud, go on a tour of the Fern Gully(this jungle road that takes you through the jamaican rainforest) or another sort of jungle/rainforest tour and chances are pretty good that somewhere you stop on the tour someone will have some awesome buds. Like 1.5'' thick bud thats like a foot long, absolutely covered w/crystals, and you can negotiate to buy however much you want worth of it, 5, 10, 20 bucks, whatever. I think I got like a 4-6'' piece for like 10 bucks, and I was blazed out of my brains for like 3 days. THey have great hash too, and they'll hook you up cheap w/that too, like 4 grams for 20 bucks. Mix it in w/your bud and get ridiculously blazed. Almost all the bud there is sativa, the stimulating bud rather than the indica couch-lock bud, so you'll really be able to enjoy you vacation, your food the girls the beach all of it.

If you are over 16 or look over 16 then you can get as much to drink as you like if it is included in your all-inclusive bracelet. Just look around and see what other people who have the same color/type bracelet as you and see what they're doing at the bar and do the same. In terms of other drugs, you can get coke pretty easily there too, I thought it had heroin or something in it because it was brownish cocaine but its just not completely refined coke.

You can get almost any sort of drug you want there except prescription pills towards the higher-end opiates. If you do want to get some prescription stuff there some is over the counter, Soma for example is sold under the brand name Scutamil/Schutamil, this eastern european brand that is sold freely in Jamaica. Benzos are negotiable, meaning you sort of do need a prescription but the pharmacist is usually "open to negotiate" if you phrase your stuff right. Nitrazepam, for example, is a nice euphoric benzo usually used for sleep, and if you say something like "I'm having trouble sleeping, I have ambien/lunesta w/me and its not helping me here, but temazepam has helped before, is there something similar you can give me?" then luck can go your way. If you cant get presciption stuff in this manner you'll have to go to a local doc, but he/she is usually pretty convincable to be empathic towards your problems, just as long as you dont ask for Oxycontin dosages excessively (like more than 160 mg/day with no records). Prescription stimulants/ADD are very hard to obtain as in most countries outside the US and Canada, as most countries dont care for such "addictive drugs" to be given for such minor conditions. Some docs/pharmacies are exceptions to this rule though.

There's also a good amount of Exctasy floating around the island usually consumed by tourists. Thats a tricky drug to work with there b/c quite a bit is bunk and can be sort of expensive, the lowest I had negotiated was down to 3 pills for 40 down from 30 bucks a pop at the start of negotiation. Its a fun place to do some mushrooms and acid though, I would go for mushrooms b/c its cheaper and less likely for you to get ripped off. If you like X and never tried mushrooms Jamaica is as happy and good a place as any for your first mushroom trip, and that way you'll spend less than you would on (probably bunk) Exctasy and have an interesting/very pleasant experience, esp. w/weed.

That canopy thing was a lot more fun, you go around the canopy of the rainforest on these harnass things that let you slide down these cables that are connected between the trees very fast.

idk about the harnass things maybe they didn't have them when i was there...what year did you go there? cuz i went in '98 and they might've not had that back then. yeah dude when i was there my parents payed some a rasta to hold my hand walking up the fall for some weird reason. anyways this guy was fucking tight and he gave me a fucking necklace.

Those things are called Zip Lines. They're found all over south america and other jungle environments. So much fun.

The tourist part of jamaica is really nice, but if you go in the ghettos, and inner citys you will realize how corrupt the country really is. Black people and society dont mix well.

my mom went there a few years back. She said everywhere she went ppl were offering her ganja. She said she went on boat tours or sometin like that, and the tour guides were offering booze and ganja.

Yeah, I've been to the Bahamas, Jamaica, etc. and it's all pretty freely available. Just stay outta the ghetto, I mean the worst that'll happen if you're in a tourist area that's just FLOODED with people is you'll get ripped off and trust me, the inner part of Nassau is pretty fucking scary when you're by yourself on one of those little bitch scooters.

Yeah I would recommend not going to the big cities like Kingston, even though the reggae clubs rock. Its really dangerous, def. dont go alone and consider carrying a knife w/you and your group. White people get kidnapped and robbed all the time there, and the poor people dont fuck around, they will kill you (or worse) if they have to for money.
