take a sip of whatever youre using for a chaser just before you take a shot. after a while it wont matter.

Personally, I'd never chase or mix good whiskey, but Cola is always a good choice for a mixer if you do.

fill a glass with ice, add coca cola and crown and mix until the taste is to your liking. its really not a hard concept.

My advice is, do your shots quick and have plenty of cola or dr. pepper for chaser.

i was real drunk one night and was trying to make margaritas but i didn't realize i had whiskey instead of tequila so i made whiskey ritas, surprisingly not bad.. something to think about idk

not everybody is an alcohol/whiskey connoisseur, so this bullshit about "drink it straight only" is pretty retarded, especially when the OP specifically said all he wants to do is get drunk and doesn't like the taste at all. obviously he doesn't care how "good" the whiskey is, he doesn't want to taste it. so fucking what? why don't you help him out instead of trying to be a bigshot on the internet? for fuck's sake.....

anyways, Jack n Coke is pretty good, you can try it equal parts Jack n Coke (or whatever brands of whiskey and cola you have), or if you can't handle that, do 2 or more parts Coke to 1 part Jack. You can also buy mixers from the grocery store, Whiskey Sours are pretty tasty IMO.

search sites like webtender.com for drink recipes including whiskey and you can get some more ideas to make the drinks a little less harsh. if you can get something else, you can try something like schnapps like someone else mentioned, it'll get you drunk while not being quite so harsh on your mouth. They make em in just about every fruit flavor you can think of, so take your pick. Vodka also mixes well with a lot of stuff while having a pretty neutral taste (unless you get the shitty plastic jug kind). just make sure when you buy something you check the alcohol content (if you're only trying to get drunk), some stuff like those shitty pre-mixed drinks you can buy at 7-11 and such (I think they're called The Club or somethin) are pretty low proof, which means you'll need to drink more of it to get sloshed. if you really want to get fucked up quickly, get a bottle of 151 and chase it with as much coke as you can handle. it's not very tasty, but at 151 proof (75.5% alcohol), you'll be tipsy in no time. just don't overdo it and get yourself sick

When I get in the 151 mood, I find that Dr. Pepper does a bit of a better job than your standard cola. Way I do it though, is take a 2 oz shooter, fill it about 3/4 with the 151, splash a tiny amount of mixer over top, shoot it and then chase. Not that much of a difference in reducing the burn, but it seems to "cool off" the shot a bit before you have to dump it down your throat.

If all your looking to do is get drunk do shots chased by coke or your favorite soda. Then maybe do a 1:3 ratio of jack to coke once you've done a decent amount of shots.
