But seriously you guys... Nile, At The Gates, Black Dahlia Murder? Look harder! There is plenty of underground stuff that makes these relatively popular bands look tame. Use last.fm. Start with a band you like and just browse through the similar artists and you will find a whole world of music you probably didn't know existed.

i saw them with suicide silence (really bad deathcore), the faceless (pretty good technical deathcore), and warbringer, whos awesome.

and i never said BDM sounded like at the gates. im saying all these 14 year old little punks keep fucking proclaiming it to me at shows and whatnot. they sound completely different, though people think they sound the same because of them both being melodic deth metal, and BDM doing a cover song of the swarm at theyr shows sometimes.

Mostly death metal, but i like alot of mainstream black metal like bathory, Emperor, Venom (if u want to call it black metal), burzum, mayhem, gorgoroth, behemoth, wolves in the throne room are a really good somewhat underground band, and keep of kalessin. really i listen to alot of metal in general. if u want some tips for good underground death/grindcore/technical/some black metal, i can provide links and such
