I've been with my current girlfriend for about 2 and a half months now. She's totally great in every way and I'm very happy with her. The only downside, she has a bit of a past. The number of guys she's been with, at 17 (I'm 18 by the way), is more than a single digit. Now, these were mostly one-night-stands...and on top of that, at least a few of these were NOT with her consent.

I've already told her I'm going to be with her regardless, and I absolutely am, but I just can't get the thought out of my head. Whenever I see one of the guys she's been with, some of who were actually good friends, I just get that sinking feeling. To picture her with guy A and guy B stings, and to imagine what some other scummy motherfuckers did just makes my blood boil.

So yeah...she used to "get around". On the bright side, she tells me she's never been happier...and even if for whatever reason we broke up, she would never go back to that lifestyle. All her friends have told me they've never seen her this happy, and I believe her when she tells me I've changed her life for the better.

I know it's in the past. I know what's done is done and I should just move on. People make mistakes and all. I shouldn't let it bother me...but regardless, it just kills.

I'm not really sure what I'm asking. Anyone have any good ideas on how to just overcome this shit and put it behind me? Would you feel the same way or am I just stuck in the past?

Ive been in a situation almost identical to yours OP. I just said fuck the past and dated the girl, we were both really happy with it to. But then she broke up wit me and moved away cuz her mom beat her.

You need to live in the present. Focus on what you have with her now. You'll lose her if you focus on where she's been rather than where she's at right now - with you.

dude, has she been tested? ive only had sex with 5 girls and i sort of expect whomever i am with to at least be within the 4-5 radius of me. if someone has fucked over 15 dudes and ive only slept with 5 girls, theres a problem. im supposed to be the sex addict in the relationship, not her.

BTW srsly get tested. Ever since this friend of mine (who is insane) started being paranoid that 80% of my city had AIDS, it freaked me out so much I wouldn't ever sleep with someone I didn't know extremely well. And in your case...uh...get her ass tested.

Don't get work up by her past, some of it isn't even her fault. Who cares if she slept with some guys unless she's given you some unpronounceable foreign std or is carrying one of their children. As long as you like her, its all good.
