webmaster money...
So lets say that I create a website, and find content for it that people will enjoy.
My next step would be to gain money from advertisments.
Does anyone know how much you can make in a month off of these adverts?
also doesn anyone have suggestion for content? I was thinking of a gaming/vids/music site.
i just hope having music on my site wont get me sued

Re: webmaster money...
You have to understand how saturated the market that you are looking into is. If it is a site that has generated cash for another person with content which isnt unique and can be found across the internet then you also need to realize that there is most likely thousands of the same websites out there. These sites having been up longer with better search engine rankings, more content, generally a better website. You may be able to get some traffic on this website but not enough for you to generate much profit though adverts. You need to start something unique, or a website with unique content. Not shit pulled off the net, unless it's porn.

Re: webmaster money...
I beg to differ. If you are just looking for some cash from non-repeat visitors. You can make a site about anything, and stick ads on it. Promote it through link swaps, link buying, and do everything you can to get go SEO. Once you get good google rankings, you'll start bringing in traffic that will click on ads.
If you want something that's going to make a lot of money however, then yeah. Holloworld is right. You'll need to be passionate about your sites niche. It'll need to be pretty unique and you'll want to pull in repeat visitors.

In the seo world you lose ranks with repeat material. Google and other sites only index the same content to a certain extent. It's just not worth it IMO.

Re: webmaster money...
hmm well its 5-15 dollars for every 1000 individual hits, so 30,000 hpm= 300 but then you have to put in the costs of operating your server which will vary a lot depending on what your doing

Uhm where are you getting this from? CPM is usually based on a bid. In order to get these bids you have to have a quaity site. I want to know where you are getting your information from. Which advertisment managment company, which companys ads, like wtf are you talking about dude.

You'd be surprised. Check out www.wwedivasgallery.net . I created that by basically copy/paste from other websites. Bits of information was changed but not by much. In 10 days I had it ranking about 5th on the first page of google for the term "wwe divas" And it was making a few dollars each day.
The point: Repeat content does get ranked, you just need to know how to get it ranked. Content is only one of MANY factors that determines your ranking.

I do know this.. In videos it does not matter so much I am talking about articles and whatnot. Same video names, other things. Although that seems like an alright niche. You should redesign your website or get another template for it. Post more shit, I dont feel like checking your backlinks right now or pagerank, although it could probably do well. The whole blog look doesn't do it justice, and please for the love of god get rid of zango. Some niches can pull it off but for the rest people are just going to leave your website.

Whoops sorry, forgot to mention I sold it. I actually got rid of the site after 12 days from creation. Made a tidy $700 from it too. Anyway, the site was really just bio's of the different divas with a picture gallery. Pagerank was 0 when I sold it because it hadn't had a chance to gain anything. I got the ranking basically from backlinks and a little onsite SEO.
