Quick Benzo (Clonazepam) Withdrawl Question
For the past week, I've been taking 1mg (2 doses of .5mg) clonazepam (K-Pins), and am going to continue to do so for the next week. Then my script runs out.
Will I experience any withdrawl symptoms, or is that dosage still too low for anything major?

Re: Quick Benzo (Clonazepam) Withdrawl Question
I would say judging by the dosage and the length of time the prescription has been taken for you won't have WD's.
If you do have a legit script and are worried then I would talk to the person who prescribed it to you and they will have a better answer for you/tell you somethings you can do or take to help any symptoms.
Normally with Benzo's for me it's just a headache and my muscles feel sore. I've been taking Valium (prescribed) for over 3 years but lately I have been trying to just ween myself off cause I feel as if I don't need them as much anymore.

Re: Quick Benzo (Clonazepam) Withdrawl Question
How often are you taking 2? Once a day?
You'll be fine. Maybe a little irritable, and a little sore but it'll pass in a few days.

Re: Quick Benzo (Clonazepam) Withdrawl Question
With that amount and length of time you'll be cool man. Nothing to worry about there. Putting myself through self inflicted effexor withdrawals now just to see what it's like.... it's grand... not comfortable but those "brain shivers" are over-rated... I'd pay for this feeling with other drugs! Only the second day though and I just took one to stop w/d's cause I'm not that bothered stopping. I am getting them for free after all!

Re: Quick Benzo (Clonazepam) Withdrawl Question
I've been taking 1.5 mg's of klonopin a day and 1.5 mg's of xanax per day for over a year now, and I still don't have any withdrawals if I run out a week before I can renew the script. Benzo's are not that addictive if taken properly.

Re: Quick Benzo (Clonazepam) Withdrawl Question
The dose is too low and you haven't been on it long enough to cause you any problems.

Exactly. Benzodiazepines are not addictive if taken as a doctor prescribed. The way to get hooked on them is like any other drug; you have to exceed the recommended dosage and build up a tolerance so that in order to get the effect, you must take twice as much, twice as much and twice that level.

Re: Quick Benzo (Clonazepam) Withdrawl Question
Alright, I figured, thanks guys. I was just worried because I have a low tolerance, but 1-1.5mg does me well sometimes. ;)
Is it really *that* bad to drink while taking this stuff?

Bullshit. My doc years ago built me up to 8mg klonopin a day for anxiety and 2mg xanax as needed for panic attacks, along with 1mg Ativan. I have to take benzos now just so I wont have seizures and go through withdrawals that will most likely kill me in the end. So dont tell me they are only addictive if you abuse them or if you dont listen to your doctor, dick.
And breathrough, it is not that big of deal to drink on benzos(Although I honestly dont recommend it) ASLONG as you limit yourself. No more then a beer or two or expect to blackout and make a fool out of yourself. Just be careful when mixing different downers though, it will kill you before you even know what hit you.

Re: Quick Benzo (Clonazepam) Withdrawl Question
Not yet, but you should probably take a break and learn to use them in better moderation. Benzo withdrawals can be pretty severe, casuing seizures and what not.

8mg's of klonopin with xanax and activan a day? I'm not surprised you got addicted, you have a shitty doctor. Also, clarifying that your doctor is an idiot, curing a benzo addiction with another active benzo dosage is pure stupid. I was saying that competent doctors who prescribe a reasonable dose, eg. up to 3mg's a day; you shouldn't have a problem with addiction. But, if the doctor gives you an abusive dosage, you're abusing the drug, therefore, yes, you will get hooked.
