is the only difference between mda & mdma the missing methyl group? and does anybody have experience with mda? how does it compare to mdma? from the chemical name, it sounds like theyd be almost identical.

MDA is a little more psychedelic, and not quite as peppy in my opinion.

I've done MDA twice I think. But I won't be of any help to you as I've never done MDMA.

But from what I've heard of MDMA it is pretty different than MDA. MDA we used to call baby acid. Because in a sense it was like an acid trip, but just not with nearly as much visuals [now I mean the visuals you got with with acid of the 70's and 80's, not the weak shit I had the last few times I took it].

so its like a weak acid trip, if you took it with some amphetamines? or do the amps not get noticed much?

btw i really hadnt heard of this, until i was flipping through an ancient copy of "the straight dope" by cecil adams, if anybody has even heard of it.

I'm not 100% sure that I've tried MDA, but I'd say I'm 80% sure. See my thread about sass for more info.

From what I can tell, MDA is a lot less speedy. My heart rate was much lower than when I did MDMA. It was also much more visual. Not that you get full blown visuals, but there is some slight patterning and a good bit of distortion. It didn't have quite as much euphoria, but still had plenty. It also seemed to be a smooth come-up, peak and come down instead of hitting you in waves like MDMA.

Overall, I prefer it to MDMA, but I don't like either particularly well. I'm sensitive to stimulants, and the nystagmus gets annoying really quickly.

Here were i live we got "pure" MDMA caps, but i discouvered that they are cut with a decent amount of MDA. Now iv had MDA prior to these caps, but when i took 4 of these caps thinking it was pure MDMA, and only to find out it was alot of MDA, i was tripping balls. For me everything was covered in a thick haze, and i couldnt see anything properly. I tried texting my friend and it took me about 20 minutes to finish a text because i couldnt make out any of the numbers. It also made me forget shit that happened 10 seconds after it happened. I was having some very visual hallucination's going down the highway and looking at other cars drive by.

mda is wickid cool. i had white G ladys that were pure mda. it was like a slight dose of lsd and mdma. i didn't hallucinate, but stufff was twirling, twisting, moving around, etc


also, music was the bomb, just like with any drug...

Then WTF is the advantage of taking it to MDMA? From what I can tell, most people would prefer MDA anyway.

Interestingly enough, MDA is supposed to make you less glued to your seat and more active than MDMA. Pure MDMA (no speed) makes me pretty lazy.

id love to get my hands on some mda. im unsure as to wether or not iv had it cut into some pills. most pills i get hold of in clubs make me anxious and paranoid and aggressive, which leads me to believe they're mainly amps,(also long time to come up even on relatively empty stomach + a disgraceful comedown)
other times i'm pretty certain my pills were mdma when obtaind from known contacts.

I beleive i may have had mda when i had two pills from a friend of a friend. i came up whil driving and it was very smooth and the drive absorbed me and was highly enjoyable. lasted for 6 - 8 hours. however comedown came in waves of feeling good and then feeling bad. as i began to come down i started to smoke some dooby. after a few spliffs, i started to have open eyed visuals, something iv never expirienced before, even on acid which just fucked me up and made me lose my sense of self and location as in i cnt remember my 2 - 3 hours of peaking at all. i think the x trip i described may have been mda as i have never hallucinated open or closed eyes on mdma + weed before
