Not saying they aren't out there but there certainly isn't as many as there once was on here. If you want to take the time to search and find my first post here in the temple, I think that you will notice that although my English isn't perfect, it is very much improved.

Don't really care about it but it is one of those things that members used to have to go through in their passage from alter boy to priest (

I used to be a grammar Nazi, even in first grade. I realised eventually however, that it is much more fun to just read and snicker quietly than to get on everyone's case about it. Therefore, I am now an ex- grammar Nazi.

I agree I don't mind being told off for the sake of bettering myself.

Proper grammor, punctuation and spelling.. it's like saying that you value language and that you give a dam.

Dam kids and their text messaging, IM and fucking spellcheck.

I miss English class where I could learn these basic skills, now i'm not learning such essentials, which I believe are some of the many things that separate the white learned man from the classical black person on government money.

I try to concern myself with my own grammar. I think most people on Totse are grammar conscious, and take time to write their posts. Some do not, but I have only made issues about the worst fucking posts I've ever seen.

A few weeks ago my English teacher asked our class who uses proper grammar in text messages. I was the only one who even used anything approaching proper language, out of a class of 12. (Bear in mind that this is a A-level English language class)

And even having said that, I draw the line at using apostophes in some words (I use them for I'd but not for can't, "id" just looks odd) and proper capitalisation (it take's too damn long a on a phone).

I will also make concesions if using "u" over "you" will save me going to two pages, and thus incurring an extra 12 pence charge.

Now I can see why "txt tlk" is starting to appear in essays, and other places where you would expect it least.

For some reason I find this strangely sad, although I consider myself to be no grammar-Nazi, and will only comment on posts that are use such malformed English as to be largely unintelligible.

Oh, English... I try to use correct grammar, because I think other people look stupid when they spel lik ths on msn n facbook an wit txts. I even take the time to use apostrophes when texting. -Wasn't as hardcore with my own grammar as I needed to be.
-Fucked up spell check by accidentally pressing "Add to dictionary" too many times.
-Was too lazy to find a way to fix it.
-People with shitty grammar will only ever continue life in the same manner or, by small chance, fix it themselves later on. (It's how I learned.)
