So, about a week ago I began getting coupons of sort in the mail for free cans of Skoal/Copenhagen. I don't smoke (regularly), or dip; however since it is free I figure why the hell not collect it. Tonight I went to get two cans, try it out hanging out with some guys from the Bundesheer. We get into this conversation about how much of a turn off it is to females for guy to dip/smoke.
What do you think? Turn off or no?

It might just be around my area, but smoking is pretty acceptable, no girl is crazy about it, but it's not a deal breaker. Dip however is considered one of the worst things you can do. I think meth scores a little higher with the ladies than dip.

Very few chicks themselves actually dip in my area. Most look at it as a turnoff.
I've even been told by a girl that it'd look less disgusting if the spit were pink instead of brown. No lies; but I fail to see why pink would change it all.
Just save your dip for when you aren't in a social circle.

There used to be spittoons on street corners and inside shops a long time ago. Now you're lucky to find an antique brass spittoon at an antique store/garage sale/etc.

If you carry the chewing habit long enough, you may be able to learn how to separate your spit from tobacco juice, keep the back of your throat hydrated, and spit out less "disgusting" chew spit as often. [Or you could be a man and swallow it all ]

And you lucky SOB, they wont send any free coupons to Washington state. I'm guessing it's because of the major taxation on tobacco products.

God yes. Smoking is a turnoff, but it's one I could probably deal with if the guy chewed gum or had a mint to keep his breath nice. But dip is unforgivable. I would not kiss a guy who has had that nasty shit in his mouth. It shows a real lack of class, and in is generally horrifically unattractive and gross.

i can't speak for all of womankind but yeah grosses me out. i've also never smoked though so that's probably part of it. just seems pointless to me...disgusting habits and there aren't really any benefits so i see no reason to be attracted to a guy doing it.

It doesn't taste that bad with the flavoring and whatnot, but the tobacco-ey taste is definitely there.

I'm dating a guy who dips, but I would never date a guy who smokes. At least dip doesn't stink up anything but your breath. Smoke gets fucking everywhere.
