Yeah, my mom beat the shit out of me, not my dad, and I still kind of resent her for it. So I don't want to hit my babies.  I haven't really thought about how exactly I'd want my husband to discipline the kids though. I just know I don't want violence in the house!
The thought of kids is greats, just like looking at them and feeding them and making them laugh and stuff... but the other stuff is too much thinking.

My father came up with creative punishments, de-weed the garden (with gloves, but it's boring as fuck). He used to keep this book of math problems around, and as punishment, I would have to do it until I got all of them right. If I got one wrong, I would be given a new set to do.
Theirs a lot of worse things out there than beating your kids.
