Price of computer? (who would buy it)
i recently received a new laptop for college and plan to sell my old (not really) desktop. the specs for the desktop are:
-Windows Vista Home Basic (can be changed, DLed new versions of Vista)
-Dell Dimension DXP061
-Intel Pentium D CPU 2.80GHz 2.79 GHz
-RAM: 2046MB
-32-bit Operating System
-C: Drive (OS): 138GB
-D: Drive (Recovery Drive): 10GB
It wouldn't come with anything (keyboard, monitor, etc), but everything would be reset to factory settings.
my price was going to be $900-1000USD
are there any other important specs i should mention? price too high, too low? (btw, first time selling a computer, if you havent noticed)

Re: Price of computer? (who would buy it)
you should include the specs on the video card, if it has one, and if not say "onboard graphics." also, how many watts is the power supply? i think $900-1000 is high, since one with those specs or better, with no monitor or anything, can be built cheaper. i would guess a good asking price would be $600-700-ish. that makes it still worth your while to sell it, and puts it in a price range that isn't too high that someone will just pass up at a glance.

550~675 You can try the magic number (599 or 699 )
Pentiums D's, well to be honest i can't comment on that. However i did some brief Googling and this article first page actually did make some sense in a way,
Pentium D vs Core 2 Duo
Shot Answer, Pentium D not good.

Re: Price of computer? (who would buy it)
I'll give you 300 for it. Not saying that it's bad. I'm just cheap.
