Proving you love someone
My girl and I have been having problems lately.
Some shit happened with some guy pretending to be her bf. I called her out on it, basically thought she was cheating on me because she did nothing about it, told her this, and learned that she loves me, she just didn't know how to handle the situation so she ignored it. You'll probably all call bs on the she loves me part, but fuck you, you don't know her, me, or us.
Anyway, we had been spending a lot of time together and I started to feel like we were married. I'd see her so much, that time to myself, or with my guy friends was practically impossible. To me, that much time together is not needed. I felt like she was getting in the way of my friendships with my bros in the neighborhood, much like what has happened to our friend R.
So I told her this, and she freaked. She got upset, walked out of my house, and told me we needed to take a week break, when this was not my intention at all. All I wanted was for her to see her friends more, so I could see mine more, and we could balance our relationship out.
Now she says that I love her one second but not the next because of how what I told her came across. Apparently it came across as I don't want her in my life and that I am sick of her. I've explained both of our sides to her, I understand her thoughts, but she refuses to accept that the situation should be much less heartbreaking than it is turning out to be.
So now, like I said before, she doesn't believe that I love her. I don't know how to show her I love her because she says "You say this now, but you'll change tomorrow"
So wtf? I love her with everything I have! How can I get this across to her??? All I want is to save this relationship...

Re: Proving you love someone
How old is this girl man? If she is like <18 I would say she is about as logical as an ant on acid. If talking to her doesen't work have you tried the ol five across the eyes?

Re: Proving you love someone
Well, I would start off by telling her exactly how you feel about her, get into a LOT of details. Tell her why you feel these things, why you appreciate her, what you like about her. Now after you have done that ask her what she feels.
You just need to make it clear to her exactly how you feel, and why.
Good luck, would type more but must go!

Re: Proving you love someone
Why would you want to be with a narrow minded bitch who doesn't listen to what you say anyways?

Re: Proving you love someone
That's rough.Talk to her, but you also have to give her a bit of time to realize that you really do love her. Note: time =/= space. If she's willing, spend time together. It won't be the same as before, but hopefully (after a bit of time) it will be.

Re: Proving you love someone
You should just be honest and tell her you want more time with the guys. Make sure to tell her you love her too though. OBviously she is going to be upset.

Re: Proving you love someone
I can see why she would be upset, but this is something almost every couple goes through eventually.
Tell her that when you hang out with her every minute of every day it makes it less special, and that you want the both of you to have time apart to be with your friends/pursue individual interests so that when you are together it's awesome. I worded that really poorly, but if you can work in some kind of lovey-dovey, romantic message and emphasize that you love her, but you need to be able to grow individually as well, then you'll almost certainly work through it and find a good balance in your relationship.

ART. Also, how can you love someone who is so obviously mentally unbalanced? I had a girlfriend like this, I thought I loved her, and then we would get into petty shit like this all the goddamn time until I painfully broke it off. I suggest you do it sooner than later, or figure out if you can fix it without it being a recurring thing.

Re: Proving you love someone
She's so strange.
So this morning she was all "You always change, you don't love me" and now she's like "I love you too!! =)" answers my calls, and all that shit. We talked for awhile this afternoon, but I didn't think it was getting anywhere, more of the same bullshit recycled. Towards the end of the convo she just kinda snapped out of it, said she loved me, and said she felt better.
Wtf? She told me she was sorry but she didn't tell me for what. I just said its okay, that I love her, and hope to see her soon.
What the hell did I do?
Well anyway, I've got a plan to win her heart and I'm going to execute it tomorrow.
