Default love or practicality?

Curious as to the thoughts of the other girls, though the guys can add their two cents as well...

Would you take the guy who is out of state for at least a year (perhaps even longer), though you share a deep connection and fondness for him?
or
The guy who is local and for all romantic purposes, far more practical. While there is no dramatic pull towards him, he is kind and interesting.

There is no picking both as devotion cannot be split in this case.

If I'm looking for love: definitely the former. I'd much rather endure the hardships of a long-term, distant relationship if it's with someone I share a deep connection with, than feel as if I'm settling for the "potential" just because they reside closer to home.

Honestly though, if time being of the essence were key to this situation, I'd give the guy closer to home a chance. I'd look into whether or not he's worth it over the distant guy.

Regardless of distance, I'd feel tempted to lean more on the guy with whom I have the deepest connection.

...does that help at all?

WARNING: Male input.

As silly and cliche as it may seem, I would follow my heart and not the practical logical decision. You never know if that connection you might pass up could be shared with anyone else. If the connection is deep enough, no boundary should be too difficult to overcome. This person may very well be worth waiting for, but only you can make that decision.

Do what your love gland tells you. Yanno, that spot in between your heart and stomach that turns itself in knots when hurting and gets goosebumps and becomes warm when happy.

The feelings you get from that usually will tell you how genuine and strong your connection is to that person.

Whatever your choice I wish you luck. Hope you find happiness in whichever decision you make.
